Fantastic gloves for campfires, for cooking close to fires - Competitively priced for such a nice product.
I got these for my boyfriend for camping as one of his Christmas presents. I did a lot of research on the various types of gloves and decided these were the best bang for the buck. We just went camping this weekend, and they are apparently his favorite of all the presents I got him. He and our friend were both highly excited about these gloves and very happy with them. They are leather! They were able to grab burning logs out of the first and move them around to fix the campfire. I also used them with the cookware and was really impressed. One thing I will note, which is expected and explained in the directions, is if you hold something incredibly hot long enough, you'll start to feel it through the gloves. When I was pulling the cast iron skillet off the fire (which had been roasting for a long time), I could feel the heat slowly building up and had to put the skillet down within 20 - 30 seconds...but that was enough time for me to do what I needed.I also used the gloves with the utensils around the fire and arranging the logs. I'm so happy with them that I'm planning on buying a second pair to keep handy.Unfortunately, the second night it had rained and someone left the gloves out. They got soaking wet :(. There are special drying instructions, and we're waiting for them to dry out. Hopefully they hold up.Regardless, these are a really great buy for campfire gloves. My impression of this company is that it looks kind of new, and for that reason, they're offering a high quality product at a competitive price to penetrate the market - but that's just my speculation. Save yourself time researching, these will get the job done.

Yes, if you select "small" these are indeed women's gloves...
Update: 3.5 years later and these gloves and my original pair are going strong! I love these gloves and just ordered a 2nd pair to have once the first ones wear out (though they aren't showing any signs of wearing out). Unfortunately, the manufacturer has changed the design. The fingers are 1/2-3/4" longer which makes them too long. They are wider across the the palm than the original pair and the inner lining feels loose. They seem to be of lower quality than my first pair (from 2017). I have returned the gloves. I'm disappointed. Why change a good thing?Note to manufacturer/vendor: Go back to your original design for the small gloves and add a medium size for the folks with slightly larger hands.-----------------------------------------Original review: Finally, gloves for the wood stove that actually fit my hands (women's medium)...**Note: If your hands are a women's large, these gloves may be just a bit too small / short in the fingers.I ordered the small size red gloves and though the fingers are a tad short (as another reviewer mentioned) they are indeed women's gloves. The gloves are approx. 5" across the top of the hand, the fingers are approx. 3" long, and the length is just about 14". The fingers are snug so it's easy to maneuver hot logs quickly, easily, and with precision. They work well in keeping hands safe from the heat of the fire when positioning wood. I have attached some pictures for those who are leery of the conflicting reviews in regard to the gloves being too big. I couldn't wait to try the gloves before writing this review so you will see black charcoal marks on them in the pictures. The gloves arrived with no marks on them.Only time will tell how these gloves will hold up but so far, these gloves are the best fitting wood stove gloves I've ever had and they seem to be made exceptionally well. And for thirteen ninety nine as of December 2017, one can't beat the price. I may just order an extra pair just to have on hand (no pun intended! :-)I've been using a wood stove for 30 years so I have some experience with these kinds of gloves. I've order gloves on Amazon from other sellers in the past thinking they would fit based on the description and reviews but the gloves received were too big and bulky (more like a men's medium size).Comments for seller/manufacturer:1. If you continue to receive reviews mentioning the fingers of the gloves being too short, consider adding no more than 1/4 inch in length to the fingers.2. Nice instructions that accompanied the gloves! I really got the sense that your company's mission is to have satisfied customers.

Strong, have not broken, and withstand high heat.
These gloves are great. They are tough, have not broken apart or had holes burned into them when holding hot logs. They are comfortable, thick and strong. However, as expected, if you hold on to a HOT lot for too long, say over 10 sec, you will feel the burning heat through the glove. But the purpose of these gloves is to adjust logs etc. Just a heads up. They are great and handling semi hot items is a breeze.

Great for back yard grilling
Worked very well for grilling. Grabbed the shish kebobs without trouble and minimal heat. Camp grilling while I was able to get a cast iron skillet to where I needed it, it was quite hot. Also grabbing logs out of the fire not a great idea. Still a good quality glove. I'm not knocking them. They are welding gloves after all. Meant more for protecting against sparks and not grabbing 500 degree pans off of a burning fire. Customer service is also great. They contacted me after seeing the review and offered a replacement or refund if I was not fully satisfied. Bumping them up a star for that. I would highly recommend over similar gloves from other companies.

A rare gem
Happy to find these gloves as finding heat resistant gloves that aren’t huge seems to be a very challenging task. Fit nice, comfortable, seem durable thus far.

Perfect fit and great protection for the hands/arms
I used these yesterday for the first time welding. They provided great protection from the heat and sparks. They are good quality and I'm not sure why anyone would pay more for gloves when these do what is needed. The quality is great and the stitching looks good. A bargain buy for the price. A little difficult to manoeuver small pieces of metal due to the thickness of the glove but no worse than any other pair I have used.
