Outhwaite Padded Greyhound Dog Coat, 28-Inch, Grey

This is a lovely coat - smart, warm and well-made. There are pros and cons re the belly strap though: the pro is that it is far enough forward to avoid getting peed on, but for our dog the strap is too long and the end of it has nowhere to go beyond the Velcro. I may add a strip of ribbon to slot it through. Maybe the makers could reconsider this part of the design? But overall we’re very pleased and the dog likes it too!

Bought this for my whippet as I was looking for a grey waterproof coat for him, I did wonder what the quality and fit would be like because the price seemed very reasonable, I bought the 18" as that's the length along his back and it was a great fit, his little bum is covered, the straps to do up around the waist are a lovely length, the only niggle i have is its snug around his chest, if he pulls when out on a walk it pops open at times, so i wasn't sure if overall i needed a larger size for the chest area but then the other body bits maybe too large and they are a perfect fit on this one so decided to keep it, overall I'm super happy with the coat and the quality of it, hope this helps!

This is my second purchase of the same coat. Good quality overall but the chest velcro became ineffective after a couple a couple of years. An improvement would be do do away with the chest velcro and just sow it up altogether. This won't stop me buying a 3rd coat though👍

This jacket is just perfect. Padded and totally waterproof. The rain just beads and runs off keeping our greyhound dry and warm. It’s well made and looks good. Large Velcro fastenings make it adjustable for a perfect fit. Just hang it up after your walk and it’s dry ready for your next one.

I was worried about the sizing on this item as, although it is advertised as being suitable for a greyhound, there were several reviews saying that it was bigger than the sizes stated. I measured carefully and took the plunge; it is a perfect fit. Smart, tough, easy to put on. So very pleased that I bought it, and that I stuck to the manufacturer's sizing.

Brilliant coat for my large greyhound. Had lots of compliments from other dog walkers wanting to know where to buy one. Only downside being that I could have got the 30” instead of 28” as it sizes on the small side.

Great coat but... too big for my dog... doh!

Perfect fit on 5 month old whippet puppy. Looks well made and like it will be robust.
