adidasMen's Terrex Ax4 Gore-tex Hiking Sneaker

This is actually my 2nd pair of Terrex but this time I purchased low tops. They are very comfortable, durable, and waterproof. They fit true to size.

I needed a waterproof shoe for work. I work in the rain and walk a lot for my job. I used to wear boots but I've been trying out various brands of goretex sneakers over the last few years. I've tried a few different Nikes and they always lost their waterproofing within a couple months. I had luck with Salomon trail shoes but they're way too expensive for a pair of sneakers that will inevitably wear out within a year.I was originally just going to stick with Salomon, but then I noticed these on sale for under fifty dollars. I've never been a huge fan of adidas but for the price I figured it was worth a shot.Initially these shoes are extremely stiff. It takes a week or two of dedication to break them in, like a pair of boots almost. Once they break in though they're as comfortable as any sneakers and are extremely grippy. Almost too grippy. They definitely take some getting used to. However, the goretex lining in these is the highest quality I've ever seen in a sneaker. I wore the soles through before the shoes lost their waterproofing. It really blows me away that a pair of adidas can actually be that durable. I've gotten a full year of use out of these which is a lot for the amount I walk.

I really like these shoes. They are comfortable, have a good design/color scheme, aren't heavy, and feel durable. Only issue (and the reason for taking off one star) is that the size runs quite large. I'm usually a size 9.5, including other Adidas sneakers. These might be the first hiking shoes I've purchased (from any brand), so maybe these kinds of shoes just tend to be roomier... perhaps because you might tend to wear thicker socks? Still, the 9.5 was just huge. Even the 9 is slightly roomier than the 9.5 I've had in other Adidas shoes (but I am keeping the size 9).

Comfortable and lightweight. Feels like a boot but fits well in a professional work environment.

I spend a good amount of my time outdoors, and would consider myself a 'gear nerd'. I already have a pair of Adidas trail running shoes in my gear collection which are much more lightweight than these shoes. These shoes are much more heavy duty. If you are looking for a more roomy, robust hiking shoe that has a stiffer sole with heavy duty large lugs, you won't be disappointed. In my opinion these shoes are built to accommodate a thicker sock. I immediately replaced the insole the shoe came with, with an insole that has better arch support. This upgrade to the insole made this shoe feel much better on my feet. They are roomy but not too much. Overall, I'm very impressed, they fit well and are very, very comfortable. I bought a size 8 in blue and they look and feel very nice. You might also find that you like the insole the shoe came with. Overall, I'm very happy with these shoes and wouldn't hesitate wearing them on the most demanding terrain found anywhere and highly recommend.

They are stiff and a little uncomfortable at first try I take a size 9 and they feel a little small will try fora week or so and exchange if necessary. I hope they break in till then I believe they are well made.

These shoes have been great. As a delivery driver I have used and abused them. The only bad thing is part of what makes them so good. The continental soles are awesome for traction, but they are not designed for delivering all day on pavement and concrete. I only get one season and the soles are worn flat. They still provide good traction, just not on the trails. For hiking these things are great. I had a pair of mid high shoes like these and I I wore through the the rubber and into the foam midsole. They were still going strong. The only reason I threw them away was because in the rain water came in through the soles, lol.

Love it. Color scheme is really nice preferred if it was all that green but no complaints about the durability

Vorab möchte ich darauf hinweisen, dass der Schuh an sich wirklich gut ist. Super Profil und auf den ersten Blick auch sehr gut verarbeitet. Für mich ungewöhnlich ist jedoch die Maßhaltigkeit der Schuhgröße.Habe sonst bei Adidas immer 41 1/3 und damit auch noch nie das Gefühl gehabt, die Zehen einziehen zu müssen. Wurde mit diesem Schuh jedoch eines Besseren belehrt. Dachte erst, dass gibt sich noch, aber nach den vergangenen Wochen muss ich feststellen, dass wird wohl nichts mehr werden. Sind zu eng und bleiben zu eng. Also meine Empfehlung ist, auf jeden Fall den Schuh eine Nummer größer zu nehmen, um dieses Problem nicht zu haben.

Se perciben de muy buena calidad, son Adidas Terrex originales. Llegaron en caja de Amazon, no de Adidas y llegaron justo el día que prometieron. Después de usarlos todo el día y haber caminado más de 5km, puedo decir que son bastante cómodos. Yo los compré para uso casi diario en la ciudad de México y estuve muy a gusto con ellos.Los recomiendo, creo que el precio es justo por lo que obtienes.
