I now have two of these little switches. I carry a small collection of SingleMode, MultiMode and Gigabit RJ45 SFP modules. All of the SFP modules I have tried have worked just fine (most of mine also work with Ubiquiti devices). I I created little DC power whips that allow me to "loop" out power to the next unit if I need to power them from one adapter. This also allows me to use a laptop 19v power supply to power a switch or two AND my laptop. I can verify that Dante audio passes through these switches just fine and and POE powered Dante devices also work just fine. A few other things... It doesn't get hot and I can generally run it without any poe devices pulling power (like a simple switch) on about 500ma 12v. I've even powered it from a usb to 12v power converter and it does fine. It's just a great little box that can work as a switch or POE device without much fuss and can run on all kinds of voltages. I work in live event production and devices that work without failing and "just work" is the motto of the day.

This eLink does exactly as it should. I use it in a cabin with 12 volt solar electricity. (I’m always tempted to cut all those 120v adapters off that output 12 volts, but they don’t have the clean harness as this unit does.) And it works up to 48 volts if ever needed.

This is not 1GB switch? No matter what the description, I cannot get the switch to do more than about 80 mbps;. Unfortunately I discovered this beyond the 30 day return window.Update! Working with the seller, which in this case the seller was both considerate and responsive. But we were not able to get the switch I received, to perform as expected. I have 30 years IT engineering experience, so testing this switch, the specific switch I received, was done in detail. Both the seller and I believe the specific switch I received has a fault. The seller, worked with me to, make sure my concerns where addressed and resolved in full. In my case, I received a refund, but the seller graciously offered to send a replacement immediately, with no need for an RMA, or authorize a full refund. Thus I have updated this review. Given the excellent customer support, and willingness of the seller to address my concerns I updated this review accordingly.

I bought this to use in a sealed outdoor enclosure to power a camera and wireless transceiver, and after a few weeks, it's been solid. Lately, it's been around 110° outside almost daily, and my camera and transceiver are still sending video data.The unit seems solid and very well built, nothing cheap about it. I expect it to do its job for years to come.

I have a couple of these switches connected in line... they work well, and just as advertised,one can easily and consistently get a 1 Gig download speeds if the Internet Provider can put it out.I love the power input flexibility [12V->48V] [BONUS] one can use just about any extra laptop adapter.

I need a small network hub that has PoE to my outdoor AP. This was perfect. It is powered by local 12-volt power so I did not need an inverter. I hooked it up, powered it on and it worked great. Now I am hooked up with only 12 volt and it powers the AP over POE. That is just what I needed and it works great, without using a lot of battery Power

I bought this model because it supported redundant power, but it died after a week and fit very loosely to the DIN railing.

These work great, got them installed outdoors in WP boxes, been handling the extremes from -40 to +40.Recommend using 12v power supplies.

POE stopped functioning on unit not good also found same unit cheaper from another vendor almost half the price no way to seller for support or return or warranty. would not buy again after buying two of them for a couple projects not impressed.
