Exceptional
I was given this as a gift. I don't know whether to display it on the wall, shave with it, or mince a filet. Superb craftsmanship and beautiful presentation. This replaces my trusty 8" Global that my son broke whilst using it as a screwdriver. I used it for one service tonight and it was a gem. Like a giant scalpel. The balance is petty good; a little bit heavy on the the front two fingers, but I got used to that after about 10 minutes. The knuckle clearance is excellent for a fat fingered chef like me. I've only given 3 stars for durability because I've not had it long enough to form a considered opinion but It looks more delicate than my Global. That shouldn't be a problem if you don't use it to bolt IKEA furniture together. My colleague used it to julienne a carrot and the knife was better than him!It's a grown-ups knife so you'll need a whetstone (don't use a pull through) but if you'll understand that as soon as you start using it.I'll update this in a few weeks but at the moment I'm a Zelite convert.SC

A dream to use
I bought this knife months and months ago. I wanted to see how it held its edge, how it felt after months of use and to give a genuine long term review.This is the perfect knife for me, economical and stays sharp. I still get a kick out of using it. The wide blade is great for squashing garlic. Julienne slicing is a breeze, it's just a very nice knife to own.

An absolute kitchen essential
So beautiful! Fantastic craftsmanship and a joy to handle. This is the first knife I have ever used with which I've been able to peel a potato and have some potato left. Not to mention fingers. It's so sharp one can barely feel any resistance, the handle is unbelievably comfortable, and the blade is so manœuvrable! My only regret is that this style of knife isn't available in the 'Comfort' series: it doesn't match my other Zelite knives.

Best ever!
Zelite knives are literally in a class of their own. I now have three. This particular Santoku knife is incredible. The sharpness,tang and balance is amazing. They all come beautifully boxed and presented. This knife comes with a good quality leather sheath and a polishing cloth. I still use them but my Gustav Emil Em, Global Sabatier (carbon steel originals) knives do sadly come second best. Thank you Zelite. Best knives Ive ever used.

Superb
Have been looking for a new Knife for some time, have read reviews after reviews , Youtube videos you name it . Looked at purchasing Global Wusthof etc and thought why spend this much , let’s give someone else a try as the big names had to start somewhere too . This knife does not diss appoint beautifully boxed and presented , lovely weight and design and most of all an edge as sharp as you could want . Outstanding product for the right price .

Well-received as gift for graduating Dr Classmate
Bought it and was blown away by the price for a well-presented white case with a leather sheath that came with it. Handle was more comfortable that my old chef knife and tested to cut thru paper. Mate I gave it too was happy with it was well. Not sure about value as with the price you can get another similar MIC knives also made in yangjiang the knife capital of china from aliexpress with a real wood handle and made using the imitation version of VG10 steel or imported AUS10/AUS8 steel for 10-20 quid less. If not willing to wait and worried by the warranty I recommend buying this brand on amazon uk

Sharp, comfortable, perfect!
I love this knife, it's so sharp straight from the box. Feels so light yet fits perfectly in my hand.Also the leather blade sheath keeps it safe from accidents.

VERY HIGH QUALITY KNIFE
We have had Cutco and Wusthof for years but when looking for a high quality chefs knife for a good price I gave this a shot. Everything is top shelf, from packaging, leather sleeve, weight, grip, etc. Very comfortable and super sharp. This is a fantastic pro-quality knife for the money and looks fantastic!

Razor sharp santoku knife and as nimble and manoeuvrable as they come – love it!
Being an Executive Chef in a top restaurant, having the very best professional knives is an absolute must. I own probably 50 knives in total, including the Zelite Alpha-Royal range and the Executive-Plus range (I also own Shun, Bob Kramer, Wusthof, Zwilling Henckels and others). There is something extra special about this brand-new Razor-Edge line just released by Zelite.If you like a Japanese style blade as in a lighter knife with unbelievable sharpness, then I think this knife series would work incredibly well for you. Most knives have a blade depth of 40mm or similar, where this Santoku knife has a very deep blade of 48mm and a very flat belly making it perfect for push cutting. It uses ultra-premium Japanese AUS8 steel which is known for its superior ability to take a seriously sharp edge and maintain it (you should always cut on soft surfaces like wood or plastic, never glass or stone). The shape of the blade is like a traditional gyuto knife and the tapered bolster makes it perfect for the pinch grip style of cutting. I personally love the handle feel and with the naturally looking black Pakkawood handle finished off with the luxury silver mosaic, this will be a very hard knife to beat regardless of the brand you look at. It has perfect balance, sharp as a razor, and has a certain lightness to it that means you can get through your food prep at lightening speeds.It comes with a real black leather protective sheath which is thick, robust and safely houses this incredibly sharp blade. Pure luxury which is exactly what can be said about the presentation box it comes in. If you know a very special person who loves cooking or is a professional chef, I can recommend this as the ABSOLUTE BEST gift they could ever receive. I own several brands of knives and they all have favourite points that make them stand out. The Zelite Razor-Edge series for me stands out for sharpness, Japanese style, lighter weight than my folded steel blades, and has a certain classic / traditional class about them. I like these even better than my Alpha-Royal series – only to be beaten by the Zelite Executive-Plus series – but for value for money the Razor-Edge knives are the best in my opinion. I have used the best knives in the world my whole life
I have had this knife a Zelite Alpha-Royal / Executive Chefs Edition for over a month now. I also have the Birds Beak paring knife. Being a Chef and now retired, I have used the best knives in the world my whole life. This is an exceptionally fine knife. Beautiful in every way. My chefs knife balances perfect in my hand with my index finger around the steel in front of the handle. This is how it was meant to be gripped. I particularly like the weight because that balance (helps you with your work). I wanted to wait until had a chance to sharpen it a few times for the review. A ceramic sharpening steel is what I use (Ceramic/ Green Elephant 1500 grit) and I can get this knife and the Parrots Beak knife so sharp, I mean scary sharp.Sharper than my Wusthof, Hinkle,Shun. This V-10 steel is so hard I can make it just as sharp as a scalpel. The weight and shape of the handle makes it a pleasure to use. It seems to cut by it's self, that's because of the balance and the weight of the steel and handle. Nice wide blade width lets you transfer your prepared food faster and in larger amounts without using a board scraper. This is just a very nice knife, quality here . The Parrots Beak paring knife is balanced to just stay in your hand while you are working with it. Not too much curve like some of the others. These 2 are your main knives for preparing your meals or anything else. These are must haves if you cook, trust me, you won't be disappointed. Did I say you could get them wicked sharp, because that's what I like best about them. Watch you fingers.
