Bemis Chicago Toilet Seat - Soft Cream

This is a first for me to write a review so here goes!This toilet seat fits fantastci real easy to fit even for me does not move at all match the toilet and cloakrom basin perfectly.It has been quite difficult to find a soft cream toilet as everything seems to be white or silly patterned, but this is brilliant and fantastic price the product is of very good quality anf quite heavy was expecting a nasty plastic seat but not it's of sturdy make and looks great.

I was searching Amazon for a cream replacement toilet seat, and not sure which one to choose. When looking at this one, up came a notice from Amazon to say I purchased this particular model a number of years ago! Perfect, this was exactly what I was looking for. It is the right colour, has been stable throughout the years without moving but just needed renewing. Now in place, (easy to fit) and I daresay when I need to replace in another eight years, then I shall be able to pinpoint the right one on Amazon!

Perfect match for a soft cream bathroom installed circa 17-18 years ago. Champagne is a much darker shade often installed much earlier. I took a punt after reading several reviews, and it's exactly what I was after. The most difficult part of installation was removing the old rusted nuts and bolts, which I figured out with help from YouTube, and this new seat fitted in less than 5 minutes. It's secure, solid and has really brightened up the room.

After finding a cream toilet seat difficult to source locally I looked online and ordered this one on Saturday 17 May. It arrived on Tuesday 20th. The colour was perfect and I attempted without much confidence to fit it myself. It was a little difficult for me as I am a 74 year old female and have a back problem. I was amazed that I managed to do it, and it looks very good. It seems to be quite solid and hopefully will remain that way.

Firstly, the image of this toilet seat is not an accurate depiction. I am giving the toilet seat 5 stars, not the listing! The seat is far lighter in colour - "soft cream" is exactly how I would describe it (the image shown appears much darker, more like taupe). So if you are after soft cream, then please don"t let the picture put you off. It matches our Bemis soft cream toilet perfectly! I love this seat because it fits snugly - no sideways movement, which has always been a problem with our other toilet seats! Mostly though, I love the plastic hinge covers! So much easier to clean and no corrosion (when you have a young boy in the house, this is a massive bonus!)

Very quick delivery and exactly as advertised. I needed a new toilet seat because my old one was always moving around no matter how I tried to secure it, it would be fine for a few days then again needed to be adjusted.The Bemis 500 is a quality product, exactly what I was looking for, perfect colour to blend in with my wall tiles, easy to fit and very secure, hasn't moved at all since initial fitting, Brilliant!!!!

Originally I purchased a more expensive toilet seat, which was defective and needed to be returned. Being much cheaper I was unsure what to expect from this purchase. It arrived very quickly, and was well packed. It was very easy to install and looks brilliant. It looks far better than the other (more costly seat), and matches my current suite perfectly. The fittings are very sturdy and it is very well made. I am delighted with the product and would buy one from this range again in the future.

Arrived Quickly. Perfect colour match for toilet and decent quality. This is the fourth seat I have ordered as after a while the paint wears off the seat back to wood, also stains quite easily and can't scrub clean as takes paint off. Shame it's not plastic. I've kept the old seat and found a spray paint from B&Q that's near the original colour not to worry about so if you're not afraid to try it will save a bit of money in future

Es ist eine tolle Klobrille, die echt einen hochwertigen Eindruck vermittelt. Sie ist einfach (also ohne Absenkautomatik). Sie lässt sich einfach und gut montieren. Sie wackelt nicht und passt perfekt. Das einzige was mich enttäuscht hat ist die Farbe. Auf den Bildern hier sieht es wie ein Mittelgrau aus. Tatsächlich ist es aber ein sehr helles grau (passt jetzt optisch nicht so gut zu unserer Badeinrichtung).

Zeit für Leo's Amazon Rezension?!?Ja! Ein weiterer Gegenstand, welcher von mir benötigt und hier auf Amazon gekauft wurde.Was folgt ist eine Liste an Vor- und Nachteilen, sowie ein Gesamtfazit.VORTEILE:+ Kein Metall im Einsatz (Scharniere ebenfalls aus Kunststoff und diese sind versteckt unter einer Abdeckung)+ Fühlt sich angenehm an beim Sitzen (im Winter nicht zu kalt, im Sommer nicht zu warm)+ Man bleibt mit der Haut nicht daran kleben+ Installation ging rucki zucki über die Bühne ;-)NACHTEILE:- Wie von vielen bereits geschrieben, kann ich bestätigen...Der sitz verfärbt sich leider beim gebrauch von Putzmitteln :-/......Selbst bei reinem Alkohol ohne Bleichmittel oder sonstigen Zusatzstoffen....Hersteller meint es reiche eine Reinigung mit Wasser, doch ein Toilettensitz sollte stets desinfizierbar sein! Ich reinige TROTZDEM mit einem Sprühdesinfekt, wenn man nach 30-60 Sek. mit Wasser nachwischt hält sich die Verfärbung in Grenzen ;-)- Öffnung etwas zu klein, vorallem zu kurz...so manch ein Hintern könnte da keine Freude haben xD- Der Sitz hat nur 2 Stoßdämpfer auf der Unterseite, statt den sonst üblichen 4- Die Abdeckung der Scharniere ist aus sehr dünnem Kunststoff, bei zu wildem öffnen/schließen könnte diese abreißen!- Etwas zu teuer für die erbrachte Leistung, 20€ wären angebrachter, vorallem da der Sitz KEINE ABSENKAUTOMATIK hatFAZIT:KANN MAN KAUFEN, mit Note "befriedigend"!Wer über die oben genannten makel hinweg sehen kann, dürfte mit diesem "Tron" sehr zufrieden sein. Unter der Voraussetzung das euer "Allerwertester" nicht all zu gigantisch ist :-PUnd ich würde den Sitz trotzdem mit einem Desinfektionsreiniger sauber machen, vorallem bei einemMehrpersonenhaushalt um eine Verschleppung von Keimen zu vermeiden ;-)Daumen hoch würden helfen die Rezension für andere sichtbarer zu gestalten :-)Vielen Dank fürs Lesen,immer wieder gern,euer Leo ;-)

Il prodotto è veramente buono ma purtroppo non adatto al mio WC un pò particolare ! Lo terrò per quando mi trasloco !

Im Bezug auf diesen tollen WC-Sitz muß ich dies leider sagen. Kein Baummarkt bzw. deutscher Hersteller bringt es je fertig einen WC-Sitz zu bauen an dem es wirklich nichts auszusetzen gibt. Entweder haben sie alle diese dummen Gewindestangen-Befestigungen die nicht richtig halten oder sie sind aus kaltem Plastik oder sie sind absolut unverschämt teuer...seit Jahren ein Trauerspiel. Endlich habe ich einen perfekten WC-Sitz gefunden, der richtig schön aussieht, eine rostfreie und wacklungsfreie Befestigung hat, die man hygienisch zuklappen kann und es sieht ordentlich aus.Der Sitz ist nicht kalt beim Draufsetzen und scharfe Reinigungsmittel benutze ich sowieso nicht, Spüli reicht vollkommen. Wenn ich jetzt noch den Preis von knapp 24 euro sehe, dann weiß ich daß ich nur noch diesen Sitz kaufen werde. Vielen Dank an Bemis, ihr habt uns gezeigt wie man es richtig macht.

Der Toilettensitz ist mit einem Wasserlack versehen. Dieser ist sehr anfällig gegen Verschmutzungen.Zum Beispiel wenn Urinspritzer nicht SOFORT mit milden Mitteln beseitigt werden, kriegt man sie nicht mehr weg. Das sollte vom Anbieter in irgendeiner Form kommuniziert werden.Hier die Antwort des Verkäufers:Haben Sie an dieser Stelle vielen Dank für die Zusendung des Bildes.Bei dem Sitz Bemis Chicago handelt es sich um einen Formholzsitz, welcher mit Farben auf Wasserbasis lackiert wurde.Diese sind mit milden Reinigungsmitteln und sanften Tüchern zu reinigen. Ebenso sind Verunreinigungen insbesondere durch Urinspritzer oder andere Ausscheidungen möglichst umgehend zu entfernen, um zu verhindern, dass auch hierdurch die Farben angegriffen werden.Der Verkäufer hat zumindest sehr zeitnah auf meine Reklamation reagiert.
