Bought as a replacement for defunct, but considerably more expensive, battery charger for my Dell Inspiron laptop. Ordered to be delivered on a specific date and arrived precisely on that date. I had no problems with setting it to work and it has been working ever since. It was cheap, did the job perfectly, doesn't get hot - what more could I ask for?

i received this item today and connected it up to my dell laptop and it was brilliant it started to charge up immediately on the old battery so I will be keeping the new replacement battery and I will not be sending it backonce again many thanks I really am pleased with both

works perfectly but i feel like the block heats up way quicker than my last charger. there’s also a light on it which is useful to see if it’s properly connected but it can be annoying at night when you’re trying to sleep and there’s a bright light coming from the charger

Had struggled to find a charger for my laptop as we bought it in America and then my rabbits chewed through the wires!! Grr!! But this worked perfectly for my Inspiron 3537 model. Fast delivery (on a Sunday!) and exactly as described! Cheers!

Excellent price for this charger

I have an old but fully functioning Dell Latitude D600 laptop which I am currently giving a good overhaul so it can be used as a spare. I replaced the battery with no issues and battery works just fine. However, I also decided to get a new AC battery charger/adapter as even though the old one works perfectly, its still very old! I bought this generic one as seller states it works with a Dell D600 and I made sure that all the serial numbers etc were compatible. It arrived when promised but upon opening I noticed that the new AC adapter only has two pins in the power plug whereas a the DELL AC has three. Immediately I knew this charger would not work - and it doesnt! After several conversations with DELL helpdesk and a lovely technical advisor, I found out why!?!?! The 3rd pin is an Identification wire which is connected to a chip..yes a chip inside the AC adapter. The chip inside the Dell charger contains information the computer uses and reads at start up, as soon as it is connected; specifically how much power the AC Adapter is capable of providing.... it's actually a safety decision rather than DELL's way of ensuring you can only use their parts in your laptop. It stops the laptop from pulling too much power from a power supply that can't handle it and since most of the cheap ones are made in china (LIKE THIS ONE) I wouldn't trust their current protection circuitry too much!!! SO upshot of all of this...DELL Latitude D600 can NOT be charged with a non-Dell-branded A/C adapter/charger because they are CHIPPED...Im packing mine for return TONIGHT! My fault for being cheap but seller should KNOW this information and not sell these chargers for use with a DELL! If a consumer can find out this info then surely the seller can too!
