Neon Electronic ®MCB1536D-05 Micro Hi-Fi System Plays CD with USB Connection,Bluetooth and MP3/FM+RDS for DAB+

I have just completed the refurbishment of my lovely new kitchen in a Black and White theme and the only thing missing was a neat and tidy powerful mini hi fi stereo system. There are so many products to choose from and the price ranges are quite broad however I was drawn to this because of its affordability. When I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised as the lovely retro/classic design I saw on the internet matched how I thought it would be. I am fully enjoying my rituals around playing CD’s and listening to the FM/DAB radio and my teenage daughter connects effortlessly via Bluetooth and USB (it also has a aux cable input). I did my research and tested some other stereos within this range and I must say how impressed I am. This is an excellent buy with a good volume range and the bass kicks. The kitchen appears to be the new dance floor in our house and I would fully recommend it. Value for money and good quality. unsatisfactory. sound quality poor and cd player skipped across tracks. For slightly more money there are much better sets available. Returned for a refund.

I bought this as a Christmas present, mainly as it had some EQ options with the bass and treble as well as an Aux-in.Like many others who have bought it, I was sent a downgraded version, the MCB1515D. It has all the exact same features minus the bass and treble controls, also, it has 10W speakers instead of the 30W speakers shown in the product images.Amazon could not replace the unit for the correct one as it's from a 3rd party seller, but they did give me a 20 pound gift card for the inconvenience. Great customer service from Amazon once again! I could've also refunded and sent the item back but didn't bother.All the features work well, but the speakers are pretty poor. I had to buy some new speakers to put into the unit and this made a big difference.It has a power saving feature which is annoying for me, it will go into standby after 15 mins if no sound is coming through. Far too short. Also, it doesn't save your volume above 13, so if you are using it with a TV like my mother, you'll have to adjust the volume to 20 or so every time you turn it on for the best sound!

I had previously purchased a fantastic Bluetooth speaker by Neon and did not hesitate to buy this unit by the same company. I am greatly impressed with the MCB1536D, which is now the heart of my living room. It is exquisite to look at and even better to listen to. It is packed with all the features that I need, and more. Now, I confess to being a very very fussy audiophile and I know when I am hearing high quality audio. This is it! The treble is sharp, the mids full, and the bass is thumpingly good and engaging. Yes, I love my bass! The onboard equaliser allows me to manipulate the the sound the suit my precise tastes, and I am particularly pleased to have separate bass and treble controls, which are essential for me. The options for sound input sources are endless; CD, DAB, FM, Bluetooth, USB, as well as the opportunity for aux input. There is no optical input here, although it is available on other models in the Neon range. The included remote is comprehensive and comes with batteries - which is not always the case these days! Lastly, this system is capable of considerable volume, which is easily loud enough to fill a medium party sized room with joyous sound. The unit will be just as fitting in a bedroom, conservatory, kitchen, or anywhere where high quality audio is a requirement. The price is right, too! I refuse to pay silly money for household names such as Sony, Apple or Samsung when I can get equal or better sound and features at a much lower price, as is the case here. Again, I am a fussy customer but could not be happier. Neon is now my 'go to' brand for audio - for sound and design! I hope other customers will give them a try. Very highly recommended!
