Brabantia NewIcon Pedal Bin 30 L (Platinum) Soft-Closure Kitchen Rubbish Bin with Removable Inner Bucket + Free Bin Bags

I'm more or less 100% happy with this bin. Wish I'd spent my money earlier to be honest instead of wasting a tenner at a time for crap plastic bins. My example is perfect and flawless, really nicely finished (platinum colour which matches other items in my kitchen). 30 litres keeps a fair amount of rubbish and the Brabantia bags (which you can get off Amazon for about 15p a go, in packs of 40) seem great. They fit perfectly and are very easy to use. The soft close aspect of the bin is great, as is the inherent hygiene of a foot operated mechanism. The only drawback to me, and this could be described as a bit of a design flaw, is that the lid hinge is external, meaning the lid will bang off the wall if it is placed too closely. I'm going to fix this by putting something behind the bin so it physically can't get too close to the wall. So, a flaw in my eyes but not impossible to resolve. I'm really impressed with this nice, slimline, aesthetically pleasing bin.

Great bin! I was a bit worried about spending so much on a bin but when our old pedal bin broke, I needed a new one. The lid is lovely and closes gently. The pedal appears sturdy and will hopefully last through all my children stepping on it. The color is nice and muted. The sample bag was so nice I have gone and bought some more.

This is the first Brabantia bin I’ve owned. It’s clear why it’s more expensive than a standard kitchen bin. Beautiful appearance, slow and soft closing lid and a removable lining to aid washing it. Worth the extra money it costs.

Great little bin thst fits in a skinny 'nook' in the kitchen. Bought this to replace our previous Brabantia that lasted 15 years. New design has a soft closing lid which is nice, but the inner 'caddy' used to have a handle to lift the whole thing out and empty, the handle is now gone so emptying it is much harder, especially if its stuffed full. Not a good change but still the right size and a nice style for our kitchen.

I read a lot of the reviews and was a little concerned about how many people said the lid was dented, but the deal was so good I went ahead anyway. Received this morning, well packaged and I am very happy to say no dents! Took 2 photos to prove that. Very happy with my purchase and the bin functions as expected, foot operated and a soft close...great, thank you Amazon.

I love Brabantia bins. They are always such good quality and have a 10 year guarantee - I bought this 30 litre bin in platinum (downsizing from a brabantia 50l). The colour is great and I’m just getting used to the pedal as my last bin was a soft touch type but all in all a great bin. I am very happy with this purchase!

Bought as a Christmas present so didn't open on arrival.Several major dents despite packaging appearing undamaged. Even the lid doesn't fit properly due to damage.

Great bin. Lovely muted metallic colour. Arrived in perfect shape - no dents, cuts and bruises. No noise from slow closing lid. Very stable.

The trash can is awesome, large nice size with a smooth stainless platinum finish. The peddle operates smoothly and the lid closes quietly. It was delivered with very secure packaging and there aren't any dents on it. The seller also included 3 sturdy trash bags. So glad I ordered it, the one I previously had started to rust and the finish was peeling off. The appearance of it was putting my OCD over the top and in fact, I discarded my old one before I received the new one, because it was bothering me too much. I'm hoping this one doesn't rust easily Overall, at least for quite a while. Overall very nice item, recommend buying!

Après des années d'utilisation de notre ancienne poubelle brabantia, elle n'était plus fonctionnelle. Elle a duré tout de même 15 ans!!!J'ai donc acheté ce produit et j'en suis tout à fait satisfaite.Un système lui permet de ne pas glisser sur le carrelage lors de l'utilisation/ Fermeture douce donc le couvercle ne claque plus/ Le système d'ouverture derrière la poubelle pour mon ancien modèle ne se voit plus .Produit très esthétique en plus de ses fonctionnalités et design moderne: me concernant j'ai une cuisine ouverte donc c'est très beau.Quant à la livraison du produit, rapide/ le produit est arrivé dans un emballage en carton et entouré d'un très épais papier bulle pour la protectionJ'ai inscrit le produit sur le site de brabantia pour la garantie

Ich habe diesen Mülleimer in der Oster-Aktion bestellt, da für meinen alten ein Update längst überfällig war... und das Angebot war gut. Ich hatte zwar einige Bedenken wegen einiger Rezensionen aufgrund Beulen und schlechter Verpackung, wurde aber positiv überrascht. Der Eimer kam in seiner Originalverpackung, die nochmals vom Amazon Karton ummantelt war. Die ursprüngliche Verpackung hätte wohl auch ausgereicht: Der Eimer war straff verpackt, sehr gut gepolstert in Luftpolsterfolie. Der Deckel extra zusätzlich abgesichert. Scheinbar hat man hier auf frühere Rezensionen reagiert, Daumen hoch! Jedenfalls kam so das Teil komplett "Beulenfrei" an. Das Design ist zeitlos, top. Die Funktion: Wenn man das Pedal unbedarft tritt, dann schlägt der Deckel schon sehr stramm hoch. Man braucht etwas Zeit, um das richtige Gefühl zu bekommen und sollte ihn auch nicht direkt so aufstellen, dass er gleich "an die Wand kloppt", denn dann sind Beulen wohl unausweichlich. ;) Danach schliesst er sehr weich wie eine "Klobrille mit smooth down". Also sehr angenehm. Des weiteren habe ich es ohne Probleme geschafft, eine 60L Discounter Mülltüte so anzubringen, dass man äusserlich nichts davon sieht. Ich habe echt kein Verständnis für Leute, die das nicht "auf die Reihe bekommen". Mein Fazit: Kaufen!
