Great pencils
Love colouring with these, great colour range in the tin, pleasure to work with, I'm only learning and have managed, I colour first then blend with a cotton bud. I use a separate electric sharpener just for pastel pencils or a knife to sharpen .

You get what you pay for
These are a good brand and you pay a premium for that. Having said that they are good but the colour selection in the small tin isn’t great. They blend and layer well, but they wear down quite quickly. Best used for best and not for practice.

Product is good the packing is poor.
The pastel pencil works well and is easy to blend. But without the proper packing, no bubble wrapping, the tip of the pencil is already broken when open its own product package.

brilliant
I was a little worried the pencils would be broken - thankfully I was wrong. They are perfect. So easy to draw with, either soft or layered for more depth of colour. Just enough different pencils for each colour for shading too.

Buy the biggest range of colours.
Lovely pencils! Fantastic quality! I read other Amazon reviews and took peoples advice on buying the larger range of colours. I am so glad I did. Thank you, to the people who take the time to write proper reviews. They came sharpened. One less job to do. Although I thought the idea of a tin would be easy to use, tins are probably best for sending them in the post. The tin pops open when carrying them. The plastic tray is too flimsy for lifting out a layer. I didn’t like the feeling, that they may get knocked off the table or that the tray would collapse. I bought a Derwent Carry All Bag. The bag holds two pencils in each elasticated band. Problem sorted!I've not used pastel pencils before. This is new ground for me. I have not used the pencils much more than starting a colour sheet. I am waiting on delivery of a set of grey colour shapers too. The pencils are as expected a bit crumbly when in use. Some colours are a bit scratchy on the paper but only very slightly. Light pressure is the key. Building up many layers, as I would with my beloved watercolours. The colours are superb. I can tell this will compete with my watercolour time. Heck I may get outrageous and combine the two!

My favourite pastel pencils to date
This was my first time using these pencils. I am a wildlife artist and I love working in pastels but I'm forever trying to find a good deep black and a bright white for detailing. I usually use carbothellos which are a great all rounder and Pitt pastels for the details are they are harder. I also use two dark browns from the caran dache range because they are very pigmented and rich but also crumbly.Back to these lovelies! The yes a great range of bright colours and neutrals, they sharpen to a fine point and keep it really well if you rotate your pencil while you work, also the black is nice and deep and the white is bright and crisp. Finally! This made me very happy. I'm already on to my next drawing with them.I'll definitely buy again when they start to get short.

Not used yet
They look good but not had a chance to use yet. (Review requests often asked by many companies too early to get a valued response to a product). However the seller was prompt with delivery and packed well.

Vibrant Colors and Easy-to-Blend Layers
I've been learning about pastel pencils and soft sticks and Derwent was the obvious choice, as I've been using their graphite pencils for years. Love the bright colors and blendability of these pencils. They're not too chalky, nor are they too dense. Very easy to work with, whether making fine, edgy marks, or broader coverage marks. "Green Heron Fishing" on 9x12 Canson Mi-Tientes pastel paper. Highly recommend the Derwent pastel pencils.

Colores vibrantes

Great quality
I found these pencils to be of good quality - they are soft and good for fine lines and blendingThey work very well for my hobby - I am not a professional artist, but try to learn different techniques. All the pencils except sepia are pretty chalky - exactly the way pastel should work. Sepia is a bit more like regular pencil, but it works very well for fine lines.

Guzel kalemler
Kalemler gayet guzel. Dagitmasi kolay. Cok fazla renk karisimi yapmadim ama biraz deneyisimle onuda begendim. Normal bir pastel kalemden bir tik daha iyi. Tek sorun renklerden biri kirik geldi.
