I like this well made conical sieve as its shape is beneficial to draining sauces and other liquids into a milk/sauce pot rather than using the normal wider cooking sieves.

I bought this sieve due to it's conical nature as my existing one showers the counters in flour when I am baking.Not only does it hold a relatively large amount of flour, it also sieves items quickly with a lot less of a snow storm in the kitchen then usual.It also works very well as a small colander, draining pasta and vegetables just as effectively as a normal colander yet taking up less space in the dishwasher.A basic yet extremely effective addition to any kitchen.Update: It is now 2017, 6 years after I first reviewed this product and it is still going strong!I've recently started to make my own stocks and broths and this sieve has been invaluable in the process. The idea of getting filters or cheese cloths or anything like that seemed like a terrible and bothersome ordeal, so I tried seeing how this sieve would handle the job. It is fantastic! Even when I'm lazy and I use off the shelf herbs, the sieve is so fine that it catches them all, leaving my stocks and soups completely clear. This sieve has proven to be invaluable in my kitchen and I cannot recommend it enough.

I use this most days to strain anything from smoothies, nut-milk, soups, orange juice, sauces - the extra fine sieve makes ALL the difference to the quality of the recipe - as does the conical shape making it so much easier to direct what's being sieved into a jug or medium size bowl - even a glass!I thought twice about purchasing as it seemed like an expensive extravagance - but this has become a joyful kitchen essential and I wouldn't be without it now.Yes - I highly recommend it!

Handle welded to main body. As this type of sieve is primarily for passing food through to get rid of lumps It's obviously not strong enough to withstand its intended use. Really disappointed. Unable to contact kitchencraft as support website only for those in US or canada.

Perfect for straining Kefir, giving it a gentle shake allows Kefir to flow through and saves all the Kefir grains nicely, Although it is said that Kefir grains should not come into contact with metal, this sieve is stainless steel so it is no problem... I just wack it in the dishwasher and it comes out sparkling... Highly recommended, five stars...

Grand, trop grand pour ce que je voulais en faire lol mais bon c'est pas grave, il servira quoi qu'il arrive pour des pattisseries du coup lol. J'aurais du mesurer avant lol.En tous cas il a l'air de bonne qualité et les maille sont fine, parfait.

Il prodotto non ha disatteso le aspettative, è solido e ben fatto, con una rete molto fine e di una misura media che va bene per scolare le verdure, le scatolette, per passare la frutta, scolare piccole/medie porzioni. Ecco, per una pasta per 4 persone è ovviamente un po' piccolo!Buono il rapporto qualità/prezzo e rapido ed efficiente il servizio di consegna Amazon
