The Iche crusher makes its job but the quality is very low: rust stains after 24h of usage, smell of plastic due to the base (even if it's very useful). The plastic/gum base smells of gasoline and leaves yellow stains everywhere.I was attracted by the very low price (4,99 £ with free UK delivery)Definitely not suggested.UPDATE: after the 3rd use the ice crusher is broken!

Just as I expected! Great product and the price is decent.It tells you on the instructions, to try and dry the blades after use, to prevent rust.Its actually a bit fiddly to dry them and you're probably at risk of cutting yourself, or shredding any towel you've got.However, I haven't experienced any problems with rust and the product is great at what it does and it really doesn't take very long to make lots of ice for those pina coladas and mojitos!

When I first received this, I was a little overwhelmed by the rubber smell from the base (which didn't stick to the Worktop as advertised). However, that wasn't really an issue, and I started to enjoy several evenings of mojoito's with the ice crusher being perfect for this job.However, only 2 weeks later, the plastic holding the rotating blades in place has broken, and the ice crusher has gone in the bin..!!Wish I'd taken the advice of the other reviewers. This product is not up to the job.

If you can afford an electric one, get that. It does the job but struggles, I found that the lid kept lifting off when i turned it. Nothing wrong with the design but crushing ice by hand is just not practical, best to use electric or chuck the ice against the wall..

This is a great crusher, feels a bit flimsy but has stood up to my heavy handed other half & 11 year old son crushing ice on an almost daily basis & has not broken as yet!Is great for cocktails, iced coffee ect ect as crushes to quite small pieces.

We've been bashing ice in tea towels for cocktails and I finally got round to ordering this, looked at the reviews for lots of crushers and chose this one as it seemed simple, easy to use. It is. It also does two different size of crushing depending on which way you turn the handle. Fantastic!

No issues with purchase. Delivered on time.No issues with seller but product not the best.Cheap and cheerful and like other reviewers had issues with the plastic breaking after short period of time

People's comments about the smell are not exaggerated..... this product really smells; it's from the black seal bit at the bottom. There is still a faint whiff now but after a good wash with washing up liquid and bleach, it's not too much of an issue any more.
