Update: After several years it started breaking down. Be careful.Shop Around: Buyer beware!
Super product. Get Heavy Duty for places like Alaska. Caution who you get it from. Unfortunately, I initially ordered it on Amazon from the major distributor. My experience was unfortunate. The seller canceled the order on Amazon, ignored my phone calls & emails, but was happy to sell it to me from their website. The difference? About $5.00 more on their site & I wasn't able to use my Amazon certificates to defray the cost.Well, after several weeks, I finally got the product & it's great. Did I have to go through that aggravation? The seller attempted to ruin my delight in the product. They ship all over the world-(Philippines, etc.), so why was Alaska such a big deal. AK is a FEDEX hub.Update: 2.5 years later, it is holding up well & it is still in great shape. We put it away (fold it up) when the snow has gone & bring it out again as we winterize & prepare for the long snowy winter in Alaska. (Though so far not bad-temps to 37 last week!-so less snow.)It keeps the garage nice & dry & keeps any car messy drippings in place.Update: 4.13.11The red edgings started cracking & falling apart. Cannot stand up to heavy use. You need those red edges to keep the flood waters out of your garage.

Medium difficulty installation, shifts if you don't come on it strait, works well for intended purpose
This is not quite as easy to install as the description indicates, but can be accomplished by an able female in 30-45 min. There is a considerable amount of effort required to get the pieces to snap together, and even if you lay it out beforehand, you might end up repositioning them.Getting onto and off the mat takes a little more oomph than I am used to entering and exiting my garage with, but I have gotten used to it.Our garage is carpeted, so that might interfere with the performance of the mat. The following paragraph represents our experience, but might not be the case in a standard concrete garage: You need to get into the habit of lining your car up just right and accelerating smoothly when exiting the garage because speed and steering adjustments while on the mat cause shifting and wrinkles.Overall it is a quality made mat that does an excellent job of protecting our garage. We left off one of the side pieces where the drain is under the mat so that snow can drain easily.

Should have gotten this long ago.
When we had our house built ten years ago the mason did not pitch the garage floor so the water from melting snow and rain would head for the door. It was a constant battle trying to keep the water from the wall and it in fact damaged some sheetrock. This wonderful device catches every drop. It is easily cleaned with a broom by removing the door end edging and sweeping everything out. The material is not that heavy duty, but as long as you avoid turning your wheels on it I think it will last forever. It was certainly worth every penny as far as I'm concerned. We have had it through several snow storms now and it has worked beautifully for our Jeep Wrangler. Would have no second thoughts about buying another one if needed.

CAUTION
It took me 4 hours to put together..first time driving on it ..it buckled and ripped. I called the warranty and the guy said I needed to put tape down, so I did and again it buckled and ripped. I called Garage Flooring and she said she never heard of anybody putting this on carpet. I informed her that I had purchased Park Smart mats about 7 yearsago and they worked just fine. In the meantime I got a call back from Auto Care (the warranty) and spoked to Rick who was very nice at the time. Garage Flooring called me back and I sent the other new one back Fed Ex and it costed me 56 dollars. Rick informed me that they had changed the material so that was probably the problem, he also sent me a sample of another mat which worked the same way. I have been refunded for the new one I didn't use, because I had ordered 2. Garage Flooring told me to send back the ripped one and again I had to pay $52.00 for return. I am still waiting for my second refund. So I am out over $100 in shipping for a product that should state cannot be used on carpet due to changes in the material. Not Happy.

Weird as the other side was fine. I contacted the seller and at their request ...
I am giving the garage floor mat 5 stars after owning it for a year. Living in Maine the issue of melting snow and ice from a car parked in a garage is a real problem. The mat solved the problem. Since I installed in last December, I did have to use a hair dryer to warm up the vinyl in order to install the edges, but not a big deal. It did its job quite well. 6 months later all of the edges on one side of the mat began popping off and would not stay secured when I put them back on. Weird as the other side was fine. I contacted the seller and at their request initiated a return/replace via Amazon. Sent pictures of the problem to the seller and two weeks later received replacement edging. Thus the five starts - the mat has held up and the seller stood behind their product - no hassles, great service.

Measure twice, never cut
Like others, we had an issue with the pitch of our garage floor and any water on our car dripped off in the wrong direction. So far the mat has worked well, but we haven't tested it in the winter when our car is loaded with snow.Assembling it wasn't that hard. My wife and I figured it out rather quickly. HOWEVER, one note of caution: Do NOT trim this. It isn't necessary. We installed the mat in the smaller bay of our three-bay garage. This is where I park my FJ Cruiser. My wife insisted that the mat was too long and trimmed it despite my protests. Now it's shorter than the Cruiser. It didn't have to be.If you really think you need to trim, just fold it under and try it that way first.
