Walk-On This Way - Delivers a great read with inspiring stories and Wisconsin History
I finished reading Walk-On this way and really enjoyed it. I liked the fact that it blends the History of Wisconsin football with interesting stories of the walk-on program. I enjoyed reading the stories of some of the athletes who were not highly recruited by other big schools and how they overachieved to made a difference at Wisconsin (both on and off the field). An interesting perspective of an important program at Wisconsin.

Climbing the ladder
It was very well written, I enjoyed seeing how the players all matured into very good football players even though they did not start out on top. They all kept the desire to play.

Always a Badger
As an alum and a season ticket holder since 1992, this book basically covered the spectrum of my crazed fandom of Wisconsin football. Similar to many small-town WI guys, my favorite players have always been the walk-ons. This isn't only because they were easiest to relate to, but because they were often the best players we had on the field. Going back to Korey Manley, who played in the old Flyway Conference, up to Jack Cichy currently, the back stories were fantastic. My favorite part were the sometimes-crazy transition from one player's story to the next. It tied it together well. Jimmy Leonhard (along with Chris Borland and Mike Thompson, but they had rides from day one) will always be my favorite Badger. My only gripe is that it didn't include the craziest walk-on from when I was in college, a running back named Robert Nelson. He still scares me. I'm sure his stories wouldn't have been appropriate for the book. Either way, great read for anyone who cheers harder for the No-Star than the 5-Star.

The best book of alltime
This was the greatest book I’ve ever read, I went through an emotional rollercoaster as this book helped me throughout 2 divorces and the loss of all 16 of my kids. Truly a masterpiece and am awaiting the next book of these authors.
