Great remote for a great low price
Was looking for a remote to use with my phone for taking hunting videos. This little fella gets it done. My Motorola G Power takes great videos so why buy an action camera. After setting the phone onto a tripod in my deer blind the first day I found that this phones camera as most other phones has a default sleep time. After 90 seconds of inactivity the camera screen sleeps and phone display goes blank. This was problem #1. Solved this by downloading the app ( OPEN CAMERA ) and using it to take videos. Second day in the blind and problem #2. Although the camera now stayed on with no time out it would not dim with my phones manual screen dimmer. Can’t have a bright camera screen blaring back into my face while trying to stay hidden in a doghouse blind. Well, dug into the OPEN CAMERA settings later that night and found the setting to allow phones dimmer to dim camera screen. Just a matter of enabling it. Day three, in the blind my phone is on the tripod, open camera is running in dimmed mode and a couple nice doe walk out. I reach to tap the record button and “ you guessed it “ they spotted the movement and are now three county’s away. This is where the remote comes in. Now after setting everything up I sit in the back of my blind with remote in hand. The instant is see deer, a press of the button starts my video. Now nothing is perfect I guess and although this remote works great, paired it once very easily with my phone and it instantly connects to phone every time by just turning it on. It does have one itsy bitsy hiccup. After connecting and resting for several minutes with no activity it too goes into a type of sleep mode. I believe this is probably built into it to save battery life. This is fine with me and the fix is no problem at all. Simply press the button once, camera does not begin recording but now the remote is awake again. Press it the second time and video is running. Of course to stop any recording just push the button again. The clip is automatically saved to your phone. The distance between remote and phone is very good and close to what is advertised. I tested it to roughly 35 feet and it worked every time. I like the holder for hanging around my neck. Works great for what I’m using it for. It came with one CR2032 battery installed and a spare, not bad for $6 bucks. Now I’m after videos. If it’s stills your after, well that’s just a matter of choosing picture’s instead of video in the camera app. Each press of the button will give you a picture.

Hany little button
This button works great as a remote shutter control for phones. It is solidly built with a nice "click" feel when you press the button. There is a power switch to prolong battery life (mine still reads 99% after a week of use), and the package even includes an extra battery. The lanyard is a nice bonus. It has a "quick detach" end that connects to the button in case you need let another person do the "clicking" while you're in the picture. For those technically inclined, the button pairs to your phone as a "keyboard" type device and sends a "volume up" character which is interpreted as a shutter click in recent iOS (6.0+) and Android (5.0+) camera apps. The only downside would be if you are already using a remote keyboard with your phone - you can't use both at the same time.

operates picture and video function
I loved that this remote was a simple set up! I just flipped its switch and connected it to my iPhone 12 mini. It comes with a lanyard, making it easy to keep track of and close by and ready to use when needed. It's light weight, so won't be heavy on your neck. I was happy to discover it worked on the video setting of my phone, so I could record my table projects. It's the perfect complement to my tripod, so I can take family photos or portraits myself. It came with an extra battery. I like that for 2 reasons. One, you've got a handy extra one ready to go, and 2, you can know which one to buy in the future. I have not replaced the battery, so I cannot speak to the battery life or the ease of changing it out.The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars was because it doesn't always engage. Sometimes you have to push the button a few times. Not sure if that's because of where I'm holding the remote or if the battery is low. It's a new remote, so I assume the battery is good. But if it keeps happening, I will change it out and update this review if needed. For the price, I would recommend it. It's totally worth trying.

Great choice for quick photos
I loved this device. It’s very useful to take photos when there’s no one to take it for you. It’s very versatile and easy to use. Its small to keep in your pocket and the lanyard that comes with it makes it easy to wear.

Works perfectly. Even with an older smartphone
I bought this to take pictures of my 3D print at the completion of each layer. I designed a button that attaches to the hot end of my ender 3 and a holder for this button that attaches to the end of the X-axis. At the completion of each layer, the hot end moves to the end of the x-axis and presses this bluetooth button which in turn causes my spare smartphone to take a picture. Works perfectly.

Easy to use!
After pairing, the shutter release like a charm. Holding the shutter release also makes it great for shooting in burst mode!

Not working
For the price..the item is worthy of what it suppose to do but it does not work with all smart cell home. Thought it's just a remote function to trigger the shutter..it does not work for the "Realme 11 Pro Plus" and the "Huawei P20 Pro". Just sharing my experience. However Amazon has given me a refund without having to return the item. Please note that there is a lot of this similar item taht does not work for every smart phone..do buy with caution.
