Q: how do you compare it with SMSL SA-60 in terms of sound quality and power? which one is the best?

if you search youtube for "Z-Review - SMSL SA36 & SA50 Amplifiers" you get a good idea of the qualities of the SA-50. I chose the 50 for the regular analogue volume control as a major feature. I could not find out as much about the 60 in that way at the time I was looking, prior to purchase.I've been very happy with the SA-50. I use it with some 30+ year old Wharfedale 504 speakers teamed with a recent Jamo sub. Driven from SMSL's M2 dac; it's made a great audio system for playing CDs which I converted to flac files and play via foobar2000 under windows 7.I don't think I could in anyway have obtained better value for money, it's also very hard to beat without spending a heck of a lot more cash. Hope this helps to know, and good luck finding the perfect item for your needs.Also on youtube, ZeosPantera reviews the M2 dac, as well as many other interesting budget audio items. I found him a helpful source of information on modern audio kit which is commonly found on Amazon.

Q: Is it ok to leave switched on 24/7? Does it get hot? Does anyone know the power draw when idle? Want to be "green"!

I don't know about the power draw (although I imagine it'd be minimal) but I've left the unit on accidentally for hours and it doesn't get warm.

Dear, please speakers of either 4/6/8 ohm and 86 db upwards sensitivity will be fine.
