Review of the Tiger wood effect music stand.This stand is far better than I expected based on the descriptions of it in reviews (reviews may be referring to the metal stand offered in this listing). For starters, the brackets and connectors are not, as people have suggested, made of plastic but are in fact metal. The only plastic parts are the thumb screw fasteners, which are fine and could be replaced if they eventually break.The tubular steel stand is made of large diameter tubing and the whole stand is solid - far better than the music stand I had previously that I thought was good until comparing it to the Tiger stand. The 'desk' part of the stand is obviously not real wood, but probably MDF covered in wood effect laminate. But it still looks good. It's a tiny bit wobbly due to the nature of the bracket holding it to the base (it's longer than it needs to be), but this is me nit-picking and is nothing to be concerned about.Main downside is that my stand arrived damaged due to either inadequate or incorrectly inserted packaging inside the box, which allows the metal stand to rub against the wooden desk part through a thin layer of bubble wrap. A thick piece of cardboard would have prevented this. It's such a shame and a waste of resources, shipping etc at the same time: something that would be in Tiger's interests to remedy. I've ordered a replacement and hope that it won't suffer from the same problem.Overall, highly recommended music stand that should last for years and priced well at £29.99

My old Thomann music stands were both a bit gig-worn, the threads on the tripod base had stripped on both of them and the tops had warped a bit after being plonked in the back of the car hundreds of times, so I decided to order a new stand for gigs. It had to be black metal and solid, without the hole pattern that many stands of this type have. I've seen Tiger products around in the last few years and they seem to be a good manufacturer, comparable to Stagg. I'm very happy with this stand. It has nice plastic tightening bolts for the base and height adjustments (no need to over-tighten) and a very secure connection for the top. The angle adjustment doesn't sag and the stand doesn't rattle around, even when holding my 3kg large score display tablet. It has an embossed Tiger logo in the top right, which I wish it didn't have as I'd prefer it to be completely plain. But overall, for the money, it's a good quality product and I'm sure it will get through the next few years of gigs before it wears out and gets replaced with another one or something else.

I was looking for a replacement to my old music stand as it was very thin and seemed very fragile. I couldn't place any of my music books or folders on it without it wobbling. This Tiger Orchestral Music Stand was just the ticket: it is strong, sturdy and can be put away quite quickly. What is more is that this music stand was quite affordable at just under £20 when I ordered it. The paintwork on the music stand is fantastic with a nice black matt finish. The legs and main pole can be folded away very quickly.The biggest part of this music stand is the component which you place the sheet music on. It is huge yet strong. I mean that the advantage of this is that you can place music books - such as the Real Books - on it without any worry. However, when it is time to put away, it is quite bulky and can be annoying when you want to tidy up. Nevertheless, if you are looking for a music stand which will help you when gigging or rehearsing, then this is the one for you.Besides, I am now more respected with this more professional looking music stand!

This music stand is very sturdy and easy to use.It is not as compact for transportation as some of the more lightweight music stands but can take a much heavier weight and is much sturdier.

As with the many other Tiger brand products I have bought in the past, this is well designed and made, robust and very reasonably priced.The stand itself has a good range of height adjustment, suiting adult and child alike. Me encanta, justo lo que buscaba para poder estudiar música y poder poner además la tablet con seguridad, si además se le añade una luz led, es genial. Es bonito y muy estable. (No es madera maciza, es contrachapado, pero bueno )Obviamente no es para transportarlo, es para casa.
