Does what I need

I had quite a day at my daughter's house and had to order this.I had a 3m. long power cord for my laptop because if dau sits near the socket with her lap top anyone else has to sit further away.The flex started coming out of end that fitted in my laptop so my daughter chopped it with some scissors.I got out a shorter clover cord out of my case and plugged that in. Within ten minutes I smelt burning and my daughter spotted smoke coming out of the cord about 6" from my laptop.I don't know what happened inside the cord but the plastic outer covering of the cord had melted.My laptop's original Toshiba power cord was at home.So this cord was to replace the two I lost on the same day.I tell this story so any one who leaves their power cord plugged in is warned.If I had not been sat next to my computer it would have started smoking too.

Good lead - not cheap but I needed a longer lead for Samsung TV and this was one of the few available this long.

If in doubt I usually go for Kenable. I have never had a problem with its cables. This is well up to standard.

Nice long power cable for my TV be great if there was a right angle version as if your TV is wall mounted then this pokes out a bit too far at the back.

Bought this to replace the one which came with my TV. The greater length of this one allowed the TV to be wall mounted with the transformer tucked behind the TV.I wanted a white cable to made it less conspicuous. This one seems quite well made and is just the right length.

No thicker than the standard wire that came with LG LED 4K TV. Works perfectly, but worth noting that the wire doesn't have a right angled connection so if you're wall mounting your TV you need to be sure of clearance from the wall.
