I'm allergic to cats, and this is being used in conjunction with a HEPA air filter (running all the time in the main living areas, more frequent cleaning, and Purina allergy reducing cat food. The combination is so far working for me and my allergies are staying fairly mild, only taking histamines every once in a while.
