These solve the major reason you keep buying micro USB charging cables, but this version has a flaw.....
I purchased the "hyranger 5pcs 2nd Generation Micro USB (black)" and these are my first impressions. Will update my review later with long-term opinions.First off: the micro USB standard SUCKS. Its very fragile and non-reversible like USB-C and Lightning. How many times have you made a port loose or bent the plug on even high quality, braided cables? I was getting sick and tired of constantly replacing cables at charging stations in my house due to my clumsy kids and spouse (and myself honestly). I was getting ready to buy some expensive docks for charging our PS4 and Xbox controllers when I saw a video of someone who used similar cables for all their consoles. For the same price of one of those docks I bought 5 cables to try out.Positives:- I'm really impressed with the quality. The cables are not overly thick like some braided cables, so they are easily pliable and not stiff. Both ends feel very solid and the magnet on the device end is strong enough to hold itself to any metal surface for easy accessibility.- The adapter does not feel fragile at all. I had to remove/re-insert one of the micro usb ends a few times and never felt like it was going to fall apart. But I was careful. I question any review that complains about the durability of the ends when the whole point of these cables are to avoid causing wear on the plug. They are not meant to be constantly removed. If you have a device with a worn/loose port, and the end comes out when pulling on the cable, bend the connection away to loosen the magnetic hold instead of just yanking on the cable.- I tested the data connection and had no issues transferring files at high speed via USB 3.0 between my PC and smartphone. I didn't see any difference in speed over a standard cable. You do, however, have to have the cable in the right orientation. If you get any weird errors or responses, flip the plug over.- I had no issues charging any device provided there was appropriate room around the mirco usb plug. Some devices, like a tablet with a child proof bumper case, had very little space around the plug. I don't see any model of magnetic cables being any different, due to them all having a similar design.Negative(s):- This is personal taste - but the green LED on the magnetic end is always on. It does not change when attaching a device, so you have no idea if the connection is good unless you have a way to check the status on the device itself. I do like that it is lit so you can always find the cable in a low light situation. But you'll have to look at another version of this cable if you need that indication.- I can't seem to find a longer version of this cable by this brand, just 3ft. I'll keep searching but I have a couple cases where a 6ft cord would be preferred.Overall, I'm very impressed with these cables. So much so that I'm buying another pack. It's the next best thing to wireless charging and I don't have to worry about bent plugs or broken micro usb sockets on our devices. If things I'll update accordingly.

Magnetic is the way to go
I can praise these cables enough. I bought a set of three and loved them so much I bought another set of three. Now every device I have has the small dongle attached and I can interchange cables freely without wearing out the connectors. Be careful if you reorder to make sure you get the identical brand since not all magnetic cables are interchangeable. I have already saved myself from damaging devices multiple times due to the break-away nature of these. You do have to be a bit careful how you hold a device while the cable is attached since it can come loose. Others have claimed that the magnets are too weak and sometimes I think that. But if they were much stronger, they might NOT break away when you trip over the cable, which would be worse. I have learned to keep some slack in the cable when hold the device and overall I won't likely go back to cables that plug in and out and eventually wear out.

I recommend that EVERYONE get this product
I recommend that EVERYONE get this product! My room mate didn't want it and I just had to replace his phone because the power plug was reamed out from so many violent unpluggings. However my phone, purchased at the same time had no such issue thanks to this charger cord. I also gave one to my sister for her "Alexa" (Amazon Echo Dot) and it makes it a lot easier for her with her limited vision to unplug and reconnect "Alexa" when she goes off line. The light in the plug makes it easy to find in the dark (like when it gets dropped on the floor). I use the other one to charge my bluetooth headphones and they will last longer because of it.

Disappointing lack of consistent quality, weak / detached magnets
The magnets in the hyranger cables are very weak and one of the three cables I purchased has a magnetic ring that continually slips out of the cable end. This prevents electrical connection with the magnetic tip...making the cable worthless. Before discovering this defect, I had ordered another 3-pack of hyranger cables in gold. They should arrive today and, if they are of similar (poor) quality, I will be returning all six cables.General note for those who are considering purchasing magnetic USB cables: There is not yet a standard for these magnetic USB cables. This is to say that the magnetic tip for one brand of cables is unlikely to fit another manufacturer's cable. I had purchased one set of magnetic cables from Groupon and they are incompatible with these "hyranger" cables. I made the mistake of returning the cables to Groupon in favor of these "hyranger" cables because hyranger had a greater color selection. For anyone interested, the much better quality cables that I purchased from Groupon are from the seller "Bonita Living". Those cables apparently are available only in silver or gold and the cost is slightly greater; but the magnetic interface is of much better quality than these "hyranger" cables. The "Bonita Living" cables are more similar to the Macbook power cables, in that they snap to the USB connector easily when within near proximity and they do not disconnect when using the phone. These hyranger cables work okay when charging the phone on a flat surface but the cables tend to disconnect from the magnetic tip when using the phone at any angle than nearly directly vertical.

Problem solved!
Got it for my mother who is always having issues charging her phone she cant see the micro usb too well and it would take her a few tries to figure it out, I was afraid she would end up damaging it. This works amazing! I got the 3 pack to use one myself, however my phone is older and the connection worn so it will not stay in as well as in my mothers newer phone. She loves it no issues she just puts the phone in her wallet or just tosses it in her purse with the usb in her phone no problem.

It works well, but weak magnet.
Very convenient! Super easy to use, especially plugging in before bed. The magnet is a little on the weak side. If it's not placed on a flat surface, it will pop right off. I wish there was an option for a longer cable as well. Other than that, it's great. It has a green LED light to let you know if it's powered on, and makes it easier to find in the dark.
