Very little information here. A few pages of useful very introductory safety advice and then a lot of repetition. Should have been a blog not an expensive book. Returning.

Basic ideas are there since you don’t have any schools around to give instruction on the subject

Huge margins, dozens of blank pages, and 1/3 of each page (one of the three columns) left blank - the whole book could have been done on 200 instead of 323 pages and many trees could have been saved.Only ten tiny photos and not a single illustration or circuit diagram in 343 pages book?!? You'd better believe it!Very dry (read: boring) writing style with not much technical information. 53 chapters (!), some only two or three pages long, one chapter is titled "Fluorescent Lighting". The order of chapters is mind-boggling, no logic whatsoever, for instance "Transformer Noise", Ch. 34, is followed by Chapter 35, "Room Vibe", a 3-page "discussion" of how the acoustics of a venue impacts the tone ...I feel guilty; the money I wasted on this awful book could have fed an African family for a week.

Lots of useful information by one of the most knowledgeable Amp maker. Congratulation on an other amazing book!

Great source for pointers and repairs A+

This book is completely useless if your objective is to understand why amplifiers fail and what you can do to fix them. This is very light on real content and information- do not be fooled by the 324 pages as it can probably be digested to one sentence "Time to go visit your amp tech." I would be embarrassed to sell this to someone else. If you want information about amp troubleshooting or seek to enhance your knowledge about amps in general, PLEASE keep searching as this "book" will surely disappoint.
