Best water distiller yet
I’ve owned 3 distillers over recent years and this is the best yet. The water tastes exceptionally good even from the first batch compared to the filtered tap water that I’ve been using reluctantly recently. The filter pods fit easily in the outlet nozzle, no folding filter bags that don’t filter properly. The wattage is lower so it takes longer for a cycle but is quieter and increases the water quality. I like the water container and the way the nozzle fits the container, easier to handle and lighter compared to the glass ones. The instructions are very clear including cleaning the container well after each use, which I haven’t done before. Very happy with it and was delighted that it arrived a month earlier than original delivery forecast.

Gives you pure clean water for less than the price of bottled water.
I did the calculations and it was cheaper to get this and run it than it was to buy bottled water. water in our area is safe to drink but due to chemical additives it does not taste nice. Bottled water will absorb impurities from the plastic that are not good for you, and reverse osmosis filtration doesn't remove everything, so distillation really is the only way for pure drinking water.we have four 1 litre glass jugs and fill them from the 4 litre collection jug so we never run out between batches. make sure to keep scale build up to a minimum, and wipe out any impurities at the end of each batch with some kitchen paper. getting into the habit of putting the machine on when the 4 smaller jugs are refilled took a bit of time to become automatic, but is second nature now.I've seen some concerns about missing out on 'trace minerals' with distilled water, this is ridiculous, they are just that - trace - the tiniest amount of minerals that you get 99.99% of from a balanced diet; this concern is without any basis. I've been drinking distilled water for over 3 years and my health has improved in that time.Over the years I've tasted some very nice water from Springs and Wells in remote areas, but this is a rare, and distilled water is very nice to drink and a lot better than any bottled water or the best tap water in the world. This particular distiller is well made, and good value for money. If you value your health or the taste of your water go ahead and get one.

Really pleased.
After looking at different distillers I opted for this one because it is all metal and is 580watts rather than many others which are 750W and as this will be running everyday it seemed to make sense.(I know scientists will probably explain why it still uses the same electricity overall)Having used it for a few days we are really happy with the results, and in a simple routine of clean and refill each morning set it running in the afternoon or evening. The water TDS was 008 for the first couple of runs but is now consistently 002 which would probably be 0 on a more accurate TDS meter.Auto shut off means we leave it running in the evening without having to keep checking it.It takes about 6hrs to make 4litres of distilled water. The fan noise is not that loud and we have found an added advantage of the machine, it slightly heats our cold kitchen when running.Seeing the grey and brown muck left in the machine after each run is a real wake up call to just how poor Essex drinking water actually is.Overall really happy with the machine.

Excellent, wish I'd bought one sooner
Time consuming (5 hours) but it does the job its supposed to do and it's worth the wait after you see how disgusting the impurities and dirty sludge are that remain after distilling tap water. A far more economical and reliable solution to providing clean, pure drinking water than any traditional filter jugs out there that need constant replacement. Very highly recommended

Expensive to run!
I loved what it did to the water but after 3 months I had a massive electric bill! Haven’t used it since.

Easy to use.
Great product. Use for distilling water for our humidifier. We set it on a timer and it turns off in 5 hrs 20 minutes, distills about 1 gallon of water. We pour out the small amount of left over water then splash in about 1/2 c vinegar to clean any minerals out of the bottom. We scrub with a non scratching sponge and its ready for a new batch. We have had for 2 months and it goes a great job. Makes a little amount of noise so you might put in the laundry room if to loud. Would recommend this product. Great quality.

Great quality
So I have used the unit numerous times and can give a review now. My water tds was 2000 ppm. Mainly sodium. The unit works perfect. The only issue I see with the unit is the use of an overtime sensor as a shutoff. That should be the secondary safety, not the primary. The purchase of an outlet timer is a must. Set is for 5 hours and your done. Not running the unit dryalso makes cleaning much easier.

Love this water distiller!
The distiller came nicely packaged and with easy to read instructions. I’m now making my own clean water twice a day, which equals to two gallons per day. The machine does make a humming noice when it’s in use like a fan. It’s interesting to see the “gunk” left in the base ones the clean water is in the carafe. It’s easy to clean after each use, and I’m really enjoying making my own clean water each day and not having to go and buy water from the store. The taste of the water is great and we are all enjoying it including my cats and dog.

Yes - definitely worth paying more for superior quality and function!
Would have given 5 stars; just plain better product than the average distillers we have. Excellent carafe, great top grade stainless steel tank, and lower wattage heating element really does the job more economically and with outstanding results! Sediment buildup cleans up completely and faster, restores to pristine brand new state. Great! Only have to withhold that 5th star for: lack of handle! Much easier to lift off and refill reservoir on the cheaper ones with a handle, especially while still hot. And a Power Indicator light would be nice, to see at a glance if it's running, and know when it's done. And, hate to say it, but it is rather noisy when running. Volume and pitch of the sound is barely within acceptable background noise levels for watching TV in the general vicinity. But it does the job so well, not overwhelming enough to complain about. Certainly is "Best in Class" for a simple home distiller, and won't be buying a typical cheaper model again. Very good!

CLEAN water!!
The best way to get fluoride, chlorine, pharmaceuticals, etc out of your water!! You'll see all the residue after you distill your first gallon. Easily cleaned out with a little white vinegar. Been using mine for about two years now. Basically running it every day for a fresh gallon. No issues; works great. Got mine with the plastic decanter, but looking back I'd probably buy the glass one.
