Works perfectly
Works great,I haven't tested distance yet.I had to roll +- on the out to get it to work my gate latch.i tested device It works great at 200 yards

The distance range is grossly overstated.
This unit is advertised to have a range of 2000m and I wanted to use it for my driveway gate which is about 300m from the house and it didn't work. It feebly tried to snap the relay shut and didn't operate my gate until I purchased an additional 10' antenna and put it in a tree 10' above the ground! As an experiment I removed one of our motion detecting alarms and took it to the same place as the RF unit, called my wife, turned it on and it worked! Same distance, neither the transmitter or the receiver have antennas and the receiver is in the house! What is the excuse for the poor performance of this RF unit!If you need to go any distance beware of this product!

Remote switch ( voltage output) works great
I got this to be able to remotely turn on/off a battery powered light in my shed in my backyard. It works great for that purpose. I was expecting something like a relay with some contacts that open/close on command but this is actually a voltage output rather than dry contacts. It says it operates on 10 to 90 volts DC but I only use it at 12 VDC. Whatever voltage you put into it is what you get out of it when it is on. Range is more than adequate for my use. I tried it as far away in my yard as possible from my shed which is about 300 feet and there was no problem switching the light with the remote. The remote itself reminds me of something from the early '80's. It seems like it should be possible to make it smaller and less dated looking. There are several modes you can program the A and B buttons on the remote. The instructions are pretty slim but were good enough for me to set my preferred button settings. Overall it works great but I deducted 1 star for a clunky '80's looking remote.

Works, reliably
This remote switch works for DC equipment, like something you would power from a car battery or solar panels without a converter. There is a similar model from this manufacturer for AC. On the receiver side, the power source that powers the receiver is passed through the receiver circuitry to power whatever appliance needs to be controlled remotely.I tested this and the range of the remote is far better than I have a need for, no hiccup even without direct line of sight at about 50 yards. There are three modes the remote can be programmed in, described in the manual. One mode lets you have the receiver-side appliance on for as long as you press a button on the remote, off when you don’t press it. The second mode is turning on at first press of the button, then stays on and only turns off when pressing again the button. The third mode lets you program the remote so that one button toggles on, the other button toggles off the receiver-side. That’s pretty much all there is to this. The radio frequency is 433 MHz, so the transmitter needs an extensible antenna of about 2 feet for best power output. The old-time looking transmitter is big enough to accommodate such an antenna. I like it better at this size, I can get a proper grip of the transmitter to balance the antenna length.Overall, it is the capability to power loads at 40 Amps and the reliable remote control that make this, for me, a five star product.

10-90 VDC remote control switch with two remotes.
The unit doing the switching is DC ONLY, it will NOT switch AC line current. If you have something that runs on batteries solar, wind, battery) this might work for you. The remotes have long pull-out telescoping antenna and take 2 AA batteries. One button for on, one for off. I tested it on a car battery with a light and it seemed to work ok. I didn't have the space to test the advertised 2000m range.

Reliable, Long Range Control
This wireless remote switch works well and is easy to connect. It's important to note that it is not controlling a dry relay contact but rather it is using the relay to provide a connection to whatever input power sources you connect between 10 and 90 VDC. I used 12 VDC and everything worked as expected. I would have preferred that the product simply exposed the SPDT relay contacts leaving it as a external option whether to use the same power supply that was controlling the relay, however. One minor complaint is that this line in the product description caused me to order the wrong batteries:Please replace the remote control battery (Battery model: alkaline 12V 23A).The remotes use standard 9 V batteries, not 23A cells. That wasted a bit of money.I was able to operate the relay reliably through multiple walls and more than 100 ft of outdoor space combined. No special placement of the antenna was needed to achieve that result. It just worked. The switch comes with useful indicator lights to indicate power is available and whether the relay is on. Both switches come pre-programmed so that button A turns the switch on and button B turns it off. This is much better than a single button toggle mode as you may not know the state of the switch when you want to control it. You can always be sure it is on or off as you wish. There are also some options that can be set to make the switch operate in momentary mode as well.Overall this is a well made and useful product when you need to be able to control something from a distance.
