High output light, very bright, I ordered the dimmer kit to tone down the brightness, I replaced a fluorescent light that would flicker because of Michigan’s cold weather/winter, I had the light in my garage , and now I don’t have that problem

The lights are amazing! I originally bought 16 of these for my 60x40 garage with 16ft ceilings, but only ended up needing 6 to light it up...these things are very bright! 200W version, without a doubt, buy them.

Our garage workspace was always too dark, even with added standard overhead fixtures. So, we decided to add some UFO style lights to make that space brighter.These LED lights consume 110 watts of power and put out about 15,000 Lumens. Compare that to a standard A19 LED bulb that is a 100 watt equivalent and produces approximately 1500 lumens. Of course, that single light bulb only consumes about 15 watts of power. This works out in favor of the UFO light in the amount of energy required to produce the same amount of light and does it all with a single fixture.These lights are designed to plug into a switched outlet or just plugged in when needed. My intention is to add switched outlets next to each bulb fixture and plug these in there. That way I can always turn these off by unplugging them (we try to conserve power as much as possible) but then can be plugged in and turned on whenever the normal lights are turned on.The 15,000 lumens of light are great, it seems to light up the workspace very well and even has enough light to cover most of the garage bay in decent light.This light is in a very heavy-duty casing with a really solid hook and a set screw to hold that hook in place. Plus, it has a set screw on the hook so that it won’t come off of whatever you attach it to. The heavy casing dissipates heat very well and unless you stick your fingers into the very center of the fixture the light stays cool enough to touch. I hung this light from an eye hook with an S hook and some chain, so it hangs down a couple of feet from the ceiling.The cord is 5 feet long which gives you a bit of room to move it from the outlet you are plugging in into and also allows it to be down from the ceiling.The dimming feature seems pretty unique for these types of lights but does require a LED dimmer switch which I’ve done in the past for other applications but didn’t need it for this space. Since I’m not using the dimmer, I just left the two dimming wires sitting there unconnected as the instructions indicate.This is a really solid and bright light at a very reasonable price.

I ordered this light with the intention of using it in my garage. Right now, I use fluorescent tubes, but this fixture seemed to promise better light in terms of brightness and color.The lamp is manufactured from heavy, cast aluminum with deep finning to keep it cool. It is nicely finished in black and has a really high-tech look. The device has a 14.5" diameter and including the attachment hook is 13.5" tall. I would guess it weighs about 3-5 pounds. The light is compact and not too big or heavy for me to handle even on a small ladder.For installation, a strong metal support hook is provided. This was easy to attach using the dedicated threaded boss on the back of the lamp. And there's even a safety wire provided to back up the hook should it come loose. Optionally, you can use the threaded boss without the hook, and design your own mounting system.The electrical leads (5' AC power cord with 3 prong connector and dimming control wires) are brought into a metal box located on the top surface of the light. Stainless steel Allen screws are used to attach the box and provide easy access to the wire connections if you decide to run wires to the lamp directly. For me, I was going to hang the lamp using the hook and a mounted eyelet and connect the 5' AC cord to an electrical box located near the light.After receiving the lamp and testing it at my house, I understand now that it has too much power for what I intended. However, as a partner in a small environmental company, I think this will work well in our warehouse where the ceilings are at 18' and more appropriate for this light. This is a light built for commercial applications and can hold up to the day in - day out, continuous duty required in our building. Lamps like this can be installed throughout a warehouse or as in our case, installed over one of the many zones that could use a little additional light.After spending some time with this lamp, I can say this is a versatile, cost-effective lamp. It features quality materials, is designed for Commerical applications and is very powerful. I think the high tech look and finish would also look good in a show room or display area.Although my garage won't benefit, this lamp meets all of the descriptions and specification given on the webpage. It's easy to recommend.
