This is the second hernia support that I have tried and although the first was brilliant,this one is considerably wider. This,combined with it's double layer strapping and compression patch, provides a more targeted and adjustable support which makes everything that much more comfortable.

Excellent does the job

I bought the largest size and was very happy. It is supportive for my massive abdominal hernia which I have had for almost 4 years and has grown larger over that time (thanks NHS). It also helped relieve a bit of my constant backache associated with my huge stomach. I have been through a number of different belts over the past few years and this one is one of the better ones I've tried. It measured correctly at the given size of 53 inches long. My hernia at the biggest point is about 48 inches and I like the belt to be a bit bigger so I can have it doubled over the worst area so it gives more support.As I was happy I bought another one and that was a whopping 59 inches long! I sent it back thinking it was just a one off manufacturing mistake. I then ordered a 3rd one and that was also 59 inches long. I've now given up and will look for another type of belt.

The price is good and the support is excellent just wish I had this four years agoWould have saved me for a lot of pain and discomfort I'm that impressed I'm buy another one and I only bought it yesterday I'm just going to order another one today

Rolls up and over around the back, not comfortable. Very bulky under clothes. Ok for around the home, made me feel huge though, so I feel I couldn't wear it outside and it can be seen under my clothes. It may be better for men wearing loose shirts.

Great belt for parastomal hernia holds you in and very comfortable to wear.Highly recommended

have to admit - this was a godsend! I was having a rectus sheath hernia repaired.. before the operation, the surgeon looked at the belt and said that he preferred this one to the hospital supplied one.... anyhow, low and behold straight out of surgery I was wearing this one!Its been marvellous - its wider than most which I needed and the additional pull support bits allow me to tighten or release in numerous areas. Walking is todays tasks, so I have a few short strolls to do. so I'll tighten up across the lower section to ease the pain as I walk and then when I'm back, I can release them and relax it off a bit. I have to wear this for possibly 6 weeks - so far have been wearing it day and night - been pretty nice.. to be honest I couldn't have slept without it.Have a second one arriving today.. I did buy other hernia belts, but they just don't offer the same support as this product. 10/10

I read the other reviews that said the size is a bit small and to go up a size. I ordered up (from M to L, for my 33" waisted husband), but noticed that it bunched/pleated around his core, when he put it on. The sizing chart is probably correct. However, the wings sort of make up for the belt's extra length, so he can still use this item. Spouse likes using this belt with his standing desk at work (>12 hrs. standing daily), to give extra back support and give some protection to his umbilical hernia--he notices it doesn't hurt when he coughs, while wearing the belt. However, at some point during his day, he needs to sit, and that's when he has to remove it: Support is great while standing, but it becomes uncomfortable when he's in the sitting position. Like that there's plenty of velcro to secure, plus the wings really help customize a better fit. Still looking for a perfect belt that's comfy to use both standing and sitting.Update: We also bought the less wide belt from Abdomencare, and switch out the support needed, when he sits. Overall, swapping the belts whenever sitting/standing has yielded the best results for him.

This ran very small and tight. Did not work for us.

Just got this a day ago and oh my gosh I wish I got it a year ago when my hernia started hurting. Fits perfectly. I am a tall guy. It doesn’t roll up. It’s not too hot and the little round cushion can be moved about and moved around or taken out. I mostly use it when I’m eating and about an hour after I finish eating that’s when it hurts the worst, bending over like gardening, but hopefully I’ll get it repaired before gardening season gets here!
