This book has triggered curiosity in me about my own capabilities.
I enjoyed this; as a dyslexic with not brilliant eyesight I have tended to listen to books more than read them. I have the ability to listen at speed and retain most of what I hear. But this book has triggered a curiosity in me to see if I can begin to speed read with understanding.I read this book today and have downloaded the mindfulness ebook given as a free gift to readers and will start with that one to see how I go using techniques from here.

Seemingly good information-horribly written.
I'm currently struggling to read this book as there are so many grammatical mistakes and poorly constructed sentences. There seems to be some good information here but I would suggest the author get an english-speaker to check the writing (maybe not by speed-reading it!) as it come across as unprofessional. (I would quote examples but rightly I can't cut and paste from the Kindle program).

More of a self help book than a speed reading book
It felt more like a self help book than a speed reading book. the last 20% of this book are marketing the authors other books. the 15% before that is all self help tips, and the remainder of the book does not have many speed reading exercises. I bought the kindle edition which makes performing some of the exercises very difficult as when you click on the reading text to make it larger its very unclear. saying all that it is (was at the time of purchase) cheap. I would not recommend this book as it doesn't compare well to other speed reading books I have read

Practical
Ian has produced a very compact practical book on speed reading giving you many methods and useful ideas. Covering a wide range of areas although I do feel like some may have been left out, but perfect for a novice like me who wants to consume all the knowledge I can get my hands on. My first and only speed reading book and it did the job very well! Thanks! It would pay for him to slowly proof read the book and sort out a few grammar mistakes and also the presentation of the book could be improved.

Great book. Highly recommended.
Great book, and a no brainer at this price. Filled with great ideas for not just speeding up reading, but also improving comprehension and retention as well. I look forward to employing these techniques and taking my reading to the next level. Thank you!

Some useful tips
Very brief. Has some useful exercises and tips in there. There is a lot of rambling though. It could actually be a lot shorter than it is.

More than speed reading techniques
This book helped me a lot in improving my ability to read in a faster way. As a foreign student doing my degree in the UK, using tips mentioned in the book has helped me a lot in understding what I should do when I find some paragraphs that do not have any meaning to me. Additionally, the author also tell you other aspects in what you should do before and after the reading that I have never found in any books.

Light on content, heavy on pseudoscience.
I wish he had more about how to speed rear and less on the importance of being hydrated and eating broccoli.

My Comprehension Has Improved
I didn't think there was a book that could help with speed reading, but this book helped me immensely. Ian helped identify some key issues, that I needed to work on. With some disciplined training, I have improved my comprehension of what I read. A well written book, with good clear step-by-step instructions and ways to monitor your progress. Thank you Ian for all your help. I look forward to reading more of your ebooks.

Helpful and insightful
While reading this book, I have been using a speed reading app along side and the combo is deadly. Only been a couple weeks and I've already seem major improvements in my reading skills. Excellent book.

Very good book on speed reading
Very good book, I tried the techniques and it helped me greatly . I strongly recommend it . My only feedback is that the print is on a plane bright white page which can be hard on some eyes but using slightly bigger fonts had helped .

Disappointing
Maybe I had wrong expectations but a lot is focused on reading environment and health than actual reading technique. Very disappointed. Only a few pages on actual speed reading without thorough explanations.
