This mat is long enough to run the length of a bed and seems like it would be good for impact if someone was to fall off the bed. It’s advertised as a fall protection mat, but I got it to use to stand on while I work on my stand-up desk. Like the mats you use under your feet at the kitchen sink this mat for me serves the same purpose while I stand at my desk area. It feels soft under my feet but not so soft that I can't comfortably stand and as I twist and turn during the day it seems to lessen the impact on my body, so I feel more comfortable standing for longer periods of time.

Nice thickness and well made. Length is perfect to run between my sink and my dishwasher to keep water splashes from the floor. I love the design pattern but it makes it a bit harder to clean in the patterned areas depending on what is supplied. It will also slip some on our LPV flooring. Overall, I would purchase again (and likely soon because the hubby spilled paint drops on it) because of the thickness, design, and quality.

I did not purchase this for the intended use by the seller, so allow me to preface this review with that information in mind. I ordered this for my husband for in front of the double sink in the garage. He is an avid outdoorsman, hunts and fishes as often as possible and when the season allows. Spending hours cleaning fish or birds at the sink in the garage, so I thought this would be perfect for him to stand on after walking fields, or being on the ice all day in cold temperatures. My kindness was short lived, as when this arrived I thought I would take it upstairs and put it at the sink to the stove...holy cows is this thing wonderful. I was able to cook, do dishes, and tidy up the kitchen on this thing and my feet felt fantastic when I was done! So thankful for this! I know that once my husband finally drags it out to the garage, I will be extremely sad and not as excited to make a meal. I actually look forward to cooking because I get to use this mat. My elderly lab likes to use it as well as it is softer than the hardwood where she currently waits in the kitchen for me to inevitably drop something for her. I can see how this mat is perfect for the bedside as it is comfortable to step on. Highly recommend!

This is a great thick mat, perfect for my husbands wood shop where he stands a good bit. He's noticed less hurting. Tge quality is great & its easy to clean. Overall its a good value & we're very pleased!

This is a nice mat and works as it should for, what I feel, its actual use (to help legs and feet when standing). I wanted to use it by my Mother's bed so she didn't slip. It doesn't work for her. 1. It doesn't move on the floor but the surface tends to be slippery with her bare feet or socks. 2. It's thick and "spongie" - these mats are made for areas where you're standing and working for hours. They're perfect for the feet however - if you're older, heavier, or slightly unstable - this sponge like feature can wreak havoc with your balance.So, needless to say, we cannot use this as I had hoped.

This mat feels like it would deaden a fall from a short distance. I got it to use with my toddler who is getting to the age where climbing out of the crib might happen. It is nice to have an extra measure of safety in the room. This is also comfortable to stand on, so I think it would function well as a kitchen mat or similar.

I do like the amount of cushion this gives. I placed it at my sink, as I spend a lot of time cooking and cleaning. I have found that it is thick enough to reduce the fatigue I often feel. I like that it is easy to wipe clean and is a dark color, so it doesn’t show all the dirt and I don’t have to worry if I drop stuff on it while cooking.When I first put this mat down I made sure to sweep, vacuum and mop the floor. I wanted to make sure there was no dirt because I don’t want this to slip around. The first day it seemed to be great and I thought it wasn’t going to move. The second day I stepped on it and came crashing down. It went right out from under me and I hit the ground, hard. For reference I have it on a linoleum floor. It said anti-slip, so I thought for sure it wouldn’t come out from under me like that.I looked under the mat and somehow it had gotten a little bit of dirt, probably from my dogs, but it wasn’t very dirty at all. Later that day it went out from under me again, but I caught myself before I fell. Now I find that it is constantly moving and won’t stay put.Overall I give this 3 stars. I like the thickness and the antifatigue but the risk of falling is a bit much for me. As for the elderly and disabled I would be very cautious before using this if falling is something you are worried about.

I’m so happy to have found this as I have a little one that has transitioned to a bed with a bed rail but now having this next to the bed is extra reassurance that if a fall happens, at least he’s that much more protected from injury. Very well made and great size. Easy to wipe clean.
