TimberlandClassic 2 Eye, Men's Boat Shoes

Beautifully made boat shoes, the leather is supple and of high quality. The stitching is perfect. The soles are extremely grippy....I like the multitude of zig-zag slits in the sole that expand when it flexes. The laces are great quality. There are no horrible seams in the shoe to rub a toe or ankle. I was surprised at how narrow the toe box was though. I thought this would be the 'wide fit' as generally people's toes splay out if they spend a lot of time barefoot, but I think it refers to the section in the middle of the shoe (where the laces are). Anyway the leather is supple enough to allow for the toe box to give a little, but having said that I'd have liked a broader toe box. The last pair of boat shoes I bought (I don't recall the make but they weren't expensive) are still going strong after 20 years of use/abuse, being worn in the sea, left outside in rain etc etc. I hope these Timberland shoes have a similar longevity.

These shoes are great. Excellent quality and look good. Priced very competitively and so much less than high street retailers. The shoes were delivered in ultra quick time as well. Given a rating of four stars.Why not five stars ?I found the shoe size was an issue. I was about to go away on holiday and wanted to take a pair of these shoes with me. I'd read a few reviews and there was a view that some sizes weren't what you would expect. I therefore ordered two sizes to be sure I had a pair to take away with me. Both pairs unforunately didn't fit.I returned them the same day via Amazon - very easy process. They confirmed the cancellation and the money was back on my credit card very quickly.

This was a repurchase as I first bought this style of shoe in 2011, and it lasted quite literally 5 years before I decided to get a fresh pair. These are great shoes that are well built and will last you a long time.It might seem strange but I initially looked for the Timberland's after reading about how they were sustainably made. For example, their laces are made from recycled materials. Of course, I thought they looked pretty good too, so I took the plunge and it was well worth the money. I wear these on nights out either to restaurants or bars, and they go with anything; they are my go-to shoe! Really comfy and slip on and off easily, but equally can be tied tight if you prefer. I've found they are easy to keep clean and continue to look premium even after years of use. It's a great smart casual shoe that I can't see going out of style. I tend to wear them with no socks or with low cut ankle socks - equally comfy either way!

These are my second pair of Timberland boat shoes, having liked my first pair in Navy blue with a white sole. The fit is good when tied quite tight, but loose when I attempt to put these on without having to tie the laces again, which is my preferred way of putting such shoes on. The leather is a nice mahogany colour and seems to be of good quality. This is my replacement pair after Amazon sent me the incorrect size. But well done Amazon for a seamless replacement ordering service which is the first time that I have had to use it.

Timberland boat shoes are generally considered to be better quality than Sperrys, so gave these a go. First pair came with a mark on the toe, but was with a second pair pretty quick thanks to Amazon’s great exchange service. Construction is pretty good, and nice casual shoe for wear in the summer, can be both dressed up or down. The leather is quite stiff to start though, would recommend getting some leather moisturiser to soften it up before the first wear - your feet will thank you!

These were for my partner, he had researched the shoes in a Timberland store and knew they were the style and size he needed. Good quality shoes as you'd expect from Timberland and was good to find them at a much lower price compared to the shops where they are full price. I question the colour, they are supposed to be navy blue but I think the have a slight dark green look to them. No problems with them, he's warn them since day 1 with no socks and done a lot if walking over the summer with no rubbing and are wearing well.

I love these shoes and would buy them again. However I had to buy half a size larger than advertised. I normally buy an 8 (42) but these came up too small, so replaced with a size 8.5 and we’re perfect. Great quality, good structure and very smart boat shoes, as usual with Timberlands.

Some of the best boat shoes you can get on the market - agree with other comments that the inner build quality may have deteriorated over time but I typically get through a pair of these once every 2+ years with heavy usage before they give up their look. One comment on sizing - I've had a few pairs and learnt now that the leather will stretch over time to the point where they become loose to wear - so strongly recommend getting a size down (I am UK11 and go for UK10) which will feel very snug at first but after a handful of wears will stretch to being comfy.
