Convenient and affordable
My 19 year old cat was deteriorating slowly, so I decided I wanted to bury her in m y backyard. I used to have my pets put to sleep and cremated, but I started having doubts about if it were really their ashes in the container they returned to me. Other containers were too big (I was not looking to dig a six feet grave) so when I found this Euthabag I ordered immediately. It arrived a couple of weeks before my cat passed. I had time to plan where in the backyard I wanted to lay her to rest. When the moment came, I placed her in the cozy, biodegradable, cute, convenient small bag and a 30" grave was deep enough to place it. Since then I have planted a flower bed on the site.

Made a difficult situation much easier
We had to make the tough decision to put Scout, our 14 year old Jack Russell down recently, and wanted to bury him on our property, where he used to run and play. Being the middle of winter, the ground is very frozen, and digging a rectangular grave for a wooden box or something similar would have been challenging. He was not going into the ground in a garbage bag, or worse, with nothing. The Euthabag solved the problem for us. The bag is very sturdy, yet still light and flexible. Scout was 20lbs when he passed, so I bought a medium bag (20-40 lbs), rather than a small, as we wanted to wrap him in his favorite blanket first. The bag was a perfect fit and it was easy to place him in, so we could give him a dignified burial. You will not go wrong buying the next size up if you're at all unsure. Honestly, the price was not an issue, but I do think is a great product for the price. Amazon had it here in 24 hours.

Euthabag for pet burial
I purchased a medium size Euthabag for our cat's burial. It was large enough to hold our cat wrapped in his favorite blanket along with a medium stuffed toy he'd carried around for 17 years. Smaller size would not have worked as well. The Euthabag was easy to use. You can write personal messages on the outside of the bag with permanent markers. The zipper worked well. The bag seems secure. We tied the zipper pulls together but left a tiny vent opening. My recommendation is to dig a deep enough hole so that predators can't access the bag.

Quiet dignity for your pet- And it can be cremated (No metal parts)
Important advice point: Go one size up from what you think you need. Better safe than sorry. We lost a very important part of our family a little over a month ago. We knew we wanted him to be cremated, but we also wanted the process to be as dignified as possible. We were in a position where we had some advanced warning before he passed, so we actually purchased and decorated this funerary bag ahead of time. It really did make for a much more dignified end of life. The bag itself is a neutral solid grey and it has a plastic zipper so that the whole thing can be with your pet if you choose cremation. Otherwise you can also bury your beloved pet in it. We chose the bag in part because we knew we wanted to decorate it and it worked well for that purpose. The material is sort of a canvas construction and seems heavy duty. The only part I might be careful with is the zipper. We had no problems with our zipper, but it definitely seems like the weak spot, especially because it is made of hardened plastic. We were just very gentle with it and our dog only weighed around 20 pounds, so not a huge issue for us.Speaking of bag size, these come in a variety and I would recommend going a size bigger than what you think you need. That is what we did and I was happy that we chose that option. Too big just gives some extra room whereas too small could be a catastrophe. I had no interest in my little guy having to get stuffed into something too small. We decorated our bag using acrylic paints and sharpie markers. Both worked very well with the bag materials, but the very best was when we lightly painted a section of the bag with white acrylic, as a base, and then painted over that when it had dried. Either way works, but it depends on the type of detail you are going for. You will get cleaner lines when painting on top of a base layer. We painted an decorated our bag during down time and it was a cathartic experience. It was sad as well, but it felt nice to be able to do something for our little guy when there was nothing else to do but keep him company. It was a way for us to show our love for him and his importance in our lives, even if only in a small way. It allowed us to give him a more dignified and loving send off.I had called the cremation place ahead of time to verify that the bag could stay with him and they said it was no problem at all. That was my only worry ahead of time. Knowing that gave me some peace and we were able to put some small notes and things into the bag with our special pup to give him the best goodbye we were able to.I would (an actually have) recommend this bag to anyone who will be saying goodbye to a beloved pet and family member.

A Peaceful Goodbye
During the heart-wrenching farewell to my beloved dog, the EUTHABAG brought unparalleled peace. It is made of excellent quality material, a sturdy zipper, and includes a thorough information page. The cost is very reasonable and 100% worth it (the comfort it provided on such a difficult day = priceless). The option to personalize the bag also added a meaningful touch. Spending the night beforehand decorating it (with my dog laying by my side), was a helpful, calm way to initiate my grieving process.Overall, the EUTHABAG offered solace, respect, and convenience as I transported my dog to the crematorium. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all pet owners who may find themselves in a similar situation.

Functional
No integrated carry handles, just thicker material and stitching. Fine for the small size as you can hold it in your arms.

Nice product
I ordered two products when our dog was in her last week. I was a bit panicked wondering if the items would arrive in time. This came very quickly and is a great product. I did end up returnign it as it was not biodegradable and the pet was being buried in my yard. Despite that, I would recommend it to anyone not concerned with biogradability. It's well constructed and thought out.
