Got the wrong kit, and one strip is weird
I ordered the 12 piece kit, but only received 6 LED strips, plus remotes and control unit. So I assume I got the 8 piece kit. I didn't realize this until after I had installed some; I guess my excitement got the better of me. The lights did look great, except one strip which oddly wasn't the same color as the others. The lights were very bright and the individual colors looked great, hence a two star rating.I had to take the entire kit apart to return it, but I guess this let me test the glue, which was great.I was very disappointed with both remotes. The bigger one had very little range and felt cheap, but it did work to change the colors (except the music button which seemed to just turn off the lights. I have no idea how that was supposed to be used.) The smaller remote was very odd, and had a button to make the lights blink, which seems redundant because another button scrolled through different colors with each press then started the colors over but this time blinking. The last button changed the color once, then shut off...weird.I left the lights plugged in for literally one day, completely off aside from testing them in the dark for about 2 minutes. The next day, my brand new battery on my bike was completely dead. It appears that the IR unit sucked all the power from the battery over night. I charged the bike the next day, and while I had some power, it wasn't enough to start the bike. The IR unit draws almost as much power as my 2amp battery tender can deliver! I pulled the fuse on the LED unit (it is nice that it has a fuse) and the battery charged up fine in a few hours. Wow.Edit:Other reviews have said the lights randomly come on by themselves. Maybe this, not the IR unit, was there cause of my dead battery, but this is still unreliable. I suppose an inline switch would solve the issue but adds more expense, work, failure points, and defeats the purpose of a remote. To sum up...PROS:+ the lights are very bright+ great colors in the lights+ definitely made my motorcycle more visible at night+ they look cool+ easy to install thanks to click in connectors+ very strong, waterproof glue+ has a replaceable in-line fuseCONS:- wrong number of LEDs shipped to me- one strip wasn't the same color (pictured)- IR unit sucked so much power that the bike wouldn't start even when lights are off. This is extremely unsafe and makes motorcycle unreliable- can't charge bike with battery tender without pulling fuse on LED unit- the remotes are cheap and buttons are confusing- settings are odd, like a blink setting that is sure to get you arrested- once the glue is stuck to something, it cannot be moved because it will not be sticky anymore

Switch required
My bike design made it difficult to get the most out of these lights but I well say there is plenty of wiring to work around the placement of lights to get a good effect. As I learned the hard way on my quad AN INDEPENDENT ON/OFF SWITCH IS A MUST, your battery well drain even when not in use without a switch. The 2 remotes both work as expected I prefer the color scheme remote to the 4 button keychain remote although you can control the lights well with either.

It's not often that I can brag so much on a product but this is definitely my best amazon purchase of all
Everything you need is in the package including extensions!!!! Took me an hour to install after deciding where I wanted to put the strips. I did use the extensions so it was VERY handy to have them. The set worked FLAWLESSLY, so many many choices of colors or blinking or fading, really really really neat. It's not often that I can brag so much on a product but this is definitely my best amazon purchase of all!! I did use some cable ties where I was worried about lack of contact surface ( round bars!) AND by the way, I'm just an average Joe who was looking to spice my motorcycle up a bit and to enhance my visibility at night. BUY THEM, u won't regret it.

DO NOT Waste your money!!!!
*****Edited***** DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!!!!!!!! They shorted out the ECM and destroyed the battery on my 2018 HD Street Glide!!!! The bike had to be hauled to the HD dealership and worked on for over a week. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE!!!! If I could give this a negative score I would! These are great except that once they are on the bike they turn on by themselves. I have gone out to get on the bike a few times and they have been on all night long which could be a problem, if left too long they will drain your battery and you will be stranded.

Dont waste your money
Cheap controller cant handle a crack in the road. Sometimes they stay on for almost an hr, other times they shut off with in a few minutes.Update: I opened up the controller(very little adhesive) and removed the voice control receiver. So far this seemed to solve the issue of random shut off. If so, I may update my rating.Second update: still junk, still turn off randomly while idling at a stop or hitting bumps in the road.

Excellent Customer Service and great lights
The media could not be loaded. These lights are well made and have several functions. I have a Road King Classic and these lights make the bike glow beautifully. I was so impressed I bought another set for my boyfriend’s Road Glide. The customer service is also excellent. They answered all my questions quickly. I highly recommend these lights and this seller. They take pride in their product and treat their customers very well.

Easy install
I installed them on my Can-am X3 and look great. My complaint is that I had to install a kill switch. It would come on by itself. I took the battery out of the remote to check that and it still came on. Like them a lot just save time and order a power switch when you order these.

Turns on with no input, will run your battery down if not caught in time
Very bright, but for some reason it turns on automatically at odd times. This is a problem as I now have to install a master cutoff switch somewhere.
