As described, very bright
Great duty light. It does get hot if you use the brightest setting for an extended period of time. For a good duty belt holster use this link: https://a.co/d/0pBDZEd

puts most of my other flashlights to shame
When I ordered this light I had never heard of acebeam. With the performance of this light I am amazed I had not seen lights from acebeam in the past. I have lights from most of the well known light manufacturers and this light is one of the best. I did not care for the double tail switch at first but now that I have gotten use to it I wouldn't want to be without it. The ability to switch between light modes is great. Most of the time I use the light in either medium or high and occasionally use the turbo mode. I don't use the ultra low often and never use the sos function. The light does get hot quickly when using the light in turbo mode. The only thing I have seen that puts out more light is the LEP flashlights that cost 2 to 3 times as much as this light. The light still looks like new. After a year of almost nightly use the battery is still holding a charge well. Spare batteries can be purchased from acebeam if needed. I would recommend this light based on my experience with it.

Solid tactical light - a few misses
I have the following similar big lumen tactical-"ish" lights: Sofirn SC33 (XHP-70.3-5,200 lumens), Klarus XT21X Pro (XHP 70.2 - 4,400 lumens), Klarus XT11 GT Pro V2 (SST-70 - 3,300 lumens), Wurkkos TD04 (XHP50.3 - 3,000 lumens), amongst dozens of others.Light output: the 4900 lumen claim seems close... but I am a little let down. It just seems a bit lower on output than i was expecting. Granted, this thing is clearly throwing ~4k+ lumens which is massive output. But the P17 (4,900) should be roughly between the XT21X (4,400) and SC33 (5,200). I'm not really seeing that, it seems a lot closer to 4,000 lumens. The SC33 clearly schools it on output. Is that a big deal? No...but for this expensive of a flashlight being 900+ lumens off is disappointing. Not scientific, just comparing lights I have in real life settings, and I feel the P17 should be punching a bit harder than it does.It barely ties my Klarus XT11GT Pro V2 in throw (410m). The P17 is rated at 445m. Again suggesting the P17 just isn't quite meeting specs. The great: Build quality is fantastic, texturing for grip is top notch. Anodizing is top notch. Glass breaking beads are cool. You can still get to moonlight from OFF in outdoor mode. XHP 70.3 tint is great also, not too cold. probably right at 6000K but not higher. Zero green tint. Its also fairly small for a 21700 light, it makes the XT21X look massive. LED regulation is class leading. The misses: This is a massively powerful light, but in this class/level/cost the light output is GOOD not amazing. No on-board USB-C charging, in 2024 this is almost a deal breaker for me. I have been spoiled by on-board charging and new lights should all have it. The dual rear switch (small button) is hard to find. It is much better done on Klarus lights.Overall I'm kind of mixed feelings on this one. Its now wowing me on output, it seems confused if its a flooder or a thrower, no on-board USB-C charging is a pain, and the main thing....it was expensive. A great light, but is the value there? I'm just not sure

Amazing Light
I was quite taken with this tactical flashlight; it's small but incredibly robust and efficient. The material feels sturdy, which gives me confidence in its durability, and it functions exceptionally well for its size.Pro: The standout feature for me is its portability coupled with a surprisingly powerful beam. It's exactly what I need for outdoors, offering a long throw that illuminates far distances without any issue. The dual tail switch is also convenient.Cons: However, the reliance on USB charging is a bit of a drawback. While it's great for daily use, in situations where power sources are scarce, I'd much prefer the simplicity and reliability of replaceable batteries. This charging method feels limiting, particularly for a device designed to be a reliable tool in all scenarios. But really, this isn't a big deal.

not worth it
we have to charge it after every use which is typically 5 minutes or less - do not buy!
