Nice vest!
For the price of this vest, you get something that is well made, with plenty of storage and should work well in the fields.

Good vest
A little on the heavy side, the water bottle holders are a bit small, only fit smaller bottles, and are hard to reach. Also, there are two clips on the back I have no clue what they’re for.

Upland Vest for Shorter Hunts, Minimal Gear
The weather finally cooperated for the dog and I to get out and chase some pheasants. The vest is fully adjustable allowing it to 1) be tailored to different torso sizes to properly support the vest's load to your hips and shoulders, and 2) accommodate thicker layers as the weather gets colder. BLUF: This is a great vest for a minimal gear hunt, this is not the vest to use for longer hunts away from the truck.I really like this vest for shorter hunts as it was very comfortable to wear with a smaller load of gear. This vest is light weight and has just enough pockets/storage to carry: 1) in the main pocket: a field first-aid kit for the dog, small snack for me, and a collapsible water bowl for the dog, 2) a water bottle in each mesh water bottle pocket, 3) 16 shells, using the elastic holders and loose in the hip belt pockets, 4) a warmer pair of gloves and hat in the orange mesh/net pocket/bag that is stashed in the zippered pocket at bottom of the grey panel, and 5) a couple of birds in the game bag. The game bag has enough room for two pheasants, and possibly enough for a third (size dependent) but it will likely be above the blood-proof lining. The blood proof lining is as advertised and the velcro make it easy to remove for cleaning. The shoulder straps did not affect mounting and swinging my shotgun on a bird. It was like they weren't even there. Not sure the mobile phone/wallet pocket on the left shoulder strap will fit it's intended purpose, but you could easily fit a pocketknife or multi-tool in there. This vest has a couple of drawbacks: 1) The opening for the game bag is pretty tight. I am not the most flexible person, but with my other vest, I can easily load birds into the game bag without taking it off. With this vest I wasn't able to load a bird without taking it off. With a water bottle in each of the mesh water bottle pockets, I had to unclip the orange net/mesh pocket/bag, and unzip the top zipper to place the birds into the game bag. I suppose your hunting buddy might be able to load it for you, but I was solo. 2) For longer hunts that take you further from the truck requiring food/snacks (beyond trail mix or a power bar) and more water, or when the weather/temperature is a bit more variable, calling for shedding a layer or two, there isn't much room to carry anything additional to the gear listed above. The orange mesh/net pocket/bag works like a compression pocket and could carry a shirt or hoodie, but with its elastic edges, I could see something smaller slipping out as it bounces around while you are walking. Additionally, if you get into some thicker cover/brush, the mesh/net material will likely lend itself to getting caught/snagged, meaning another opportunity to potentially lose some contents from this pocket. I did not get a chance to use the hydration pocket for my camel-bak, but that takes up some room in the game bag area until consumed.Overall, this is a really nice vest and I highly recommend it for more of a minimalist hunt. If you are going on a longer hunt that takes you further from your truck, I'd look at something bigger like the Tenzing BV16.

Versatile for basic upland needs.
I was pleasantly surprised by this. I work professionally in the outdoors and one of my biggest employers is hunting organizations. I typically run the same tactical chestrigs I use for other contracts re-configured for more hunting related functions. But it doesn't hurt to have something more overtly hunting focused as part of my collection. One thing that I was really impressed by was the fit. I'm comically small so it's difficult finding things that are in my size especially when it comes to hunting stuff since people tend to run bigger. This vest allows for an extremely wide range of adjustment, from unbelievably small like myself too reasonably large.I found the pockets to be ok. For strictly upland purposes in conjunction with hunting pants and jacket this will fit the essentials. But for my infield needs I typically need more organization and more capacity. The shell pockets in front are removable which is a nice feature. But the the pockets and waist belt use a system that is similar to but not to the same spec as PALS/MOLLE which would have made the best a lot more versatile and allowed for a greater range of capabilities.I'm glad I have this in my rotation of equipment but because of some of the limitations for my particular needs it likely won't replace my current setups.

Seems a bit complicated to adjust to put on and does not have enough orange on the front.
This product arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged. Certainly this is a well constructed vest although in striving to make one size for all, it is very complicated to size, at least for me. Positive features include quality materials and wide straps. The back has ample orange on it and the pockets to carry game are more than adequate. The front of the vest lacks, in my opinion, an adequate amount of orange and may be a problem in some states that require color around the entire vest. And from a safety standpoint more orange the better. I believe with some slight modifications this would turn out to be a very good product.
