My Oracle Touch started making some loud rattling noises when turning on and occasionally during operation. I have had mine for 5 years. Recently pressure at the group head was very low to the point of not being able to push water down even without the portafilter.After a little bit of research, I took a gamble and decided to pick one of these up and replace my espresso solenoid valve (oracle touch has 3 total).No more rattling noises and I pulled 5 shots in a row without issues.I am so glad I got one of these because SCG and Breville were really not helpful. Breville wanted me to ship the machine and pay $500 and SCG said they'd probably charge the same but they weren't currently servicing these machines because Breville wouldn't send them replacement parts. They also said that the lifespan of these Breville machines is 5-7 years which is insane for something that costs almost $3000.I am so glad I didn't listen to them.Breville machines are actually garbage. Given their cost, i couldn't believe how cheaply made the Oracle touch is. The hose to the solenoid valve is held on by a zip tie!Bottom line: this part works great but Breville machines are garbage.
