Loved these little mochi treats
I was pleasantly surprised I liked these a lot. The positive reviews are correct. Lightly sweet, great chewy texture, but pretty expensive for an average amount. Tbh, I like them enough to buy them again, expensive or not, they're That good. Will be trying other flavors. ❤️

Delicious Confection
These convenient individually wrapped mochi bites are delicious. They are heavy on sweetness but mild on flavor. (That is to say, “sugar” is the primary flavor here, rather than vanilla or green tea.) I found it easy to grab a single serving and not overdo it. My kids love them; even the one that usually doesn’t like macha-flavored treats.

More Yokan than Mochi but still yummy
As other reviewers have noted, this is not really mochi. It is more yokan like in texture, though not as dense as a traditional yokan. (think dense room temp jello as an approximation; softer to bite and less chewy than most gummy candy). The Yuzu flavor is true. It is not overwhelmingly sweet. I liked it.

NOT mochi at all
I bought this because it was labeled as "Japanese Mochi". It is not mochi at all. There isn't a single grain of rice flour in it! It's just agar and "gelling agents". They're absolutely fine if what you're looking for is high-quality gummy candy, but I was extremely disappointed to find that they are not, in fact, mochi-based at all. I'm surprised the labeling doesn't constitute false advertising in Japan!

Excellent candy if expensive
Candy was excellent. Shipping was fast and candy was undamaged by the process. I would recommend ordering in cooler months since heat can cause issues with quality however.Price is understandable but for makes this a rare treat rather than a regular purchase.

Individual packaging was nice
I am studying Chado/sado in the US with a sensei from the Urasenke school, and as part of tea lessons we use sweets to mimic the tea ceremony when done with a guest. These are wonderful fall/winter sweets to have with koicha and usucha matcha. Individually packaged means they can be used each week for practice and not go bad. They are the perfect size to be eaten alone or combined with another type of sweet. I wish they came in more flavors! I wish there were chestnut flavors!
