Ammonite from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. These impressive ammonites have been cut in half and both halves have been highly polished for optimal display. The coiling pattern of the cepahlopod is easily seen, and the individual chambers of the ammonite are wonderfully showcased. MANY of the chambers are hollow and lined with beautiful calcite crystals, like miniature geodes. And the ammonite is fully complete, down to its tiniest inner whorls. These are beautiful fossil, perfect for any fossil collection.

Pretty and interesting!
This ammonite pair came in a box with some interesting facts about fossils. They were polished and looked attractive. I've bought them as a gift for my grandson and I think he will love them. I'm unsure whether the price is good because I haven't shopped around, but I would recommend them for anyone interested in geology.

These were actually much better than I expected. Two halves of the same fossil. My daughter loves them. The polishing reveals the air chambers perfectly. Well packaged and prompt service. Perfect.
