Nadmanah

This is an outstanding CD and I highly recommend it. Najwa Karam is a Lebanese singer, and she has an absolutely amazing voice. I would compare her voice favorably to that of Patty LuPone, it is that rich and deep. The song Ashika is probably the best, and was a huge hit throughout the Arab world, but all the songs on this CD are good. Najwa is often accused of being too traditional, but I think her albums have a nice blend of traditional and modern sounds. This is one of the best CDs from one of the world's greatest female singers, and I highly recommend it.

This cd is very pretty, her voice is great and the songs are really good. If you like Arabic music and Arabic vocalists, she will please you with her style.

This is regarding the other review above me by Utah Blaine .... you really don't know what in Gods name you are talking about to compare the worlds Greatest Arab singer with so much inevitable talent to a Caucasian broadway singer who is RARELY known anywhere . Her voice is NOWHERE near as incredible as Najwa . But Anyway aside from that ridiculous review Najwa karam is the best thing to happen to Arabic music. Since her debut in 1989 she's changed the voice of Lebanese Arabic music in particular and she's the only celebrity that makes me proud to be Lebanese.

A Honoring assemble was held on Saturday , 23rd June , 2001 by " Rotanta " for the Lebanese Dive , Shames El-Ghnieh Najwa Karam to be awarded for her greatest achievements throughout her singing career specially after the huge success for her latest album " Nadmaneh " . The assembly was held in Venesia Hotel Beirut - Lebanon in the presence of the minister of Information " Ghazi Al-Aredi " who was representing The President of the Lebanese Republic Emil Lahoud , the Legendary singer Wadee Al-Safi , Elias Al-Rahbany and a number of journalists and reporters .Mrs. Najwa started this celebration with her lovely voice singing from her latest album " Nadmaneh " starting with " Ana Meen " , " Maksar Asa " & " ElJar Abl Eldar " . Then she asked the audience to choose the songs that they would like to listen to and they choose some of her old songs . Mrs. Najwa  sang " Maghromah " - " Ma Besmahlak " - " Ya Habayeb " - Ma Hada La Hada " - " Oion Albi " - " Rooh Roohi " - " Ana Ma'akon " - " Hazy Helo " . She surprised the audience by requesting Mr. Wadee to sing "Wlaw heek btetlaao menna basma 3ala shfaf el-wafa kenne " and the audience started to clap hands to the talent she showed in her singing for the legendary singer and also commented that she is singing it for her brother Nicola and Mrs. Najwa continued " 3 fra'akon serna 3 aakher alrooh " .The minister of Information , the manager of " Rotana " Salem Al-Hendi & Wadee Al-Safi presented the prize for Mrs. Najwa and she presented it to Mr. Wadee Al-Safi who thanked her for it and asked the minister to give the prize to the right person to Mrs. Najwa Karam .At the end of this celebration , the new video clip for " Asheqa " was shown for the first time which was filmed in Italy with the director Tarek Al-Aryan where Mrs. Najwa appeared in a great new look .
