Fill water dish before placing in sunlight, works great.

It’s working great in my patio bird bath.

The product did not work and I had to return it. I had one previously that was good for several years but the new one did not work.

This solar fountain produces a fine spray of water when the base is fully in bright sunlight

For the price this is great. But if you put it out where it is windy the water gets blown away so the fountain either stops or only has a trickle. I’m moving mine to a protected area. I tried it in a bird bath to attract more birds but the winds make that difficult. As a side note it has arms/spacers you can attach to keep it centered but I couldn’t get them to stay on so I just used some small rocks to keep it in place which actually made the bird bath look great.

Works as described

The concept is good, but the construction is flawed. The straws that attach to the perimeter to help keep the pump centered in a pot of water are too flimsy. Even after using water-proof glue to reattach them, they are too weak and fall off.The fountain itself works as soon as the sun hits it and is a cute addition to a small section of garden.
