RAM-Mount RAP-B-201U-A

This turned out to be a great piece of kit that is very well made, the 3"length was perfect to mount in the fairing above the clocks and offers a great view of the sat nav. The spring that helps with the removel of the ball is a great idea and the wing nut secures the ball with absolutely no vibration at all, would highly recommend this mount. This was for a 1300 pan european with a 5"sat nav in a waterproof case.

Probably the best products for mounting screens etc in tractors on the market.

It's the usual high quality item from RAM, You'l certainly have trouble destroying this. What more is there to say?

It's my own fault for not asking or checking, but I assumed that all RAM mount arms were aluminium. It wasn't obvious from the item description that this is made from a clearly inferior plastic. I already have reservations about it, as to tighten it enough, I can see that the plastic on the opposite side to the big wing nut is moving, and I suspect it will round off in a relatively short period of time. I have a couple of other RAM mount arms that are obviously stronger than this, and I wanted a shorter arm to match. It fits, and will do the job, but I don't know if it will last the same as the others. Only time will tell.
