When the nearest loo is a long walk across a dark campsite, this is the life-saving piece of kit that lives under the camp bed. It's so handy that for camping this year, we will be buying two more so everyone in the family has their own.Essential bit of camping gear, The lid is easy to use and seals tightly. The only slight niggle is trying to fit the spout thingy in the dark at night, but it works well once fitted, even if you're trying to fit it while doing the 'dance'.

When you're a middle-aged man, camping (to visit the superb Great Dorset Steam Fair), and like a couple/three beers in the evening, then the prospect of emerging from a warm sleeping bag, getting dressed, tramping over to the "facilities" in the damp September night, then reversing the above and trying to get back to sleep... ...two or three times a night, is not an enticing prospect. Enter this superb device, with its wide spout and screw cap, and the problem is solved! You can roll out of your sleeping bag, do the necessary, and go back to sleep, almost without waking up (I did say almost). You just have to mentally ignore the noise, because thoughts of neighbouring tent occupants hearing what's going on, and the relaxation of the appropriate muscles, do not go well together!The only downside is the opaque red plastic it is made from, as it is impossible to see how full it is, and you have to screw the cap on before putting it down, to ensure no spillage. I bought three of these, so I did not have to risk a second go into one receptacle. (Jasper Carrott's story of having a medical springs to mind).On a practical note, just make sure they are watertight (preferably using water). The end of the spout can have moulding flash still attached and, if present, this needs careful cutting off. Also, I felt that the inside edge of the spout was a little sharp, so I carefully sanded the sharpness off on my ones. But that's probably just me.All in all, these are great.PS. For a female view you'll have to read elsewhere. I have no information.

Good product. Good price. Swift delivery. Excellent for camping enthusiasts - especially for those awkward moments in the middle of the night when it is too far to trudge to campsite toilets. Used recently on a camping trip where, as usual, the tent pitch allocated was sited well away from the nearest loo. The item proved to be watertight with cap screwed on (important when taking away for disposal and cleaning next morning, etc) No problems. No complaints.

Although this is advertised as leakproof, I collected this today and washed it ahead of having to use, and it leaks. The treads do not connect all the way round the bottle neck, which causes a channel for water to pass though. Disappointed, unfortunately I will be returning

I bought one a while ago. I’m a clinician working in the community hence this at times of emergencies helped me in few occasions. I recently bought one for a friend too. Easy to assemble when need using. Need to squeeze and fit the funnel. No leaks so far. While using or while leaving until empty it.

I bought this for my elderly father to use. he is 90 years old severly disabled and has dementia.He needs to urinate frequently throughout the day and night often with little warning.He is often caught short when other family members are in the bathroom and we had had a few little unfortunate accidents.These portable urine bottles are an absolute blessing. It comes with a detachable cup for Female use and is lightweight and robust .On the negative side it is practically impossible to stand on its flat side when empty and tends to roll off of any flat surface which is annoying when scrabbling to retrieve it from under the bed.WARNING it is important that the portable urinal is not used by males before removing the very sharp edges to the edge of the bottle neck. Failure to do so could very easily cause a nasty cut to male genetals where the skin is thinest and most tender.I needed to use sandpaper to remove the sharp edges on my bottle which I fortunately noticed before giving it to my Father to use.Because of the poor quality control and the potental safety risk I can only award this bottle 4x stars which is a pity as in all other respects it is excellent.

I'm a professional driver driving up to 14 hours a day. My biggest problem was always finding a urinal/toilet. Finally my problem has been solved. Portable urinal is very convenient it does not leak the neck is large enough and it can hold a fair amount of urine. I wish I found this product a long time ago. Highly recommended!

Ich bin sehr froh, dass es so ein praktisches " Fläschchen " gibt. Da ich eine Gehbehinderung habe und mir das Laufen und der Gang zur Toilette oft nicht mehr schnell genug geht, nehme ich es jetzt immer auf lange Autofahrten (Stau) oder auf Reisen.Am Bettrand krank sitzend auch schon nutzen können, es ging auch hier alles gut. Gut finde ich die kräftige Farbe, da sieht man nichts durch.Die Enkel meinten, das ist aber eine lustige Gießkanne, was ich schmunzelnd bejahte.Leicht zu leeren und heiß ausspülbar, da robustes Plastik.Absolut empfehlenswert für unterwegs oder bei Blaseninkontinenz ;-)

Einfach zuschrauben und angstfrei weiter schlafen. Leichter im Gebrauch als das Abstellen in einem Drahtkorb am Bett oder offen stehend beziehungsweise liegend daneben. Zudem sorgt das gegenüber der Norm etwas größere Fassungsvermögen für zusätzliche Entspannung. Ob man dafür gleich den vielfachen Preis einer üblichen Ente aufrufen muss, darf bezweifelt werden. Unterm Strich macht diese Ausführung für mich Sinn.
