Geo F Trumper Wooden Shave Bowl - Extract of Limes (Normal)

Love the wooden Bowl, the soap lathers up very well, it give a smooth shave, would recommend.

Really creamy lather,gorgeous scent, lasts forever! Great value.

Has a strong refreshing citrus lime smell when used which faded to a subtle hint afterwards. Lathered very easily and produced a great quantity. Although the lather was a little thin it was very slick and I had no irritation shaving. A little more drying than more modern soaps but still very pleasant to use.

This feels like a really nice quality bowl, although i think i might have been slightly unlucky in getting one with quite a few blemishes. These are only to be expected with real wood but it does mean the varnish has not quite sealed it in at least one place, meaning the wood is slowly getting a bit water marked. I don't think this will affect the use of it though, just a minor annoyance. The soap smells nice, although the lime is really not a very strong scent. These are really handy for travelling as there is no risk of a spillage in your washkit. I would recommend this item but may try another soap when i come to refill.

Its fussy I know but good quality shaving soap to travel is a challenge, by its very nature the soap after use is wet, you can seal the bowl so packing would be a problem....Perhaps Trumper could come up with a screw top bowl? then I could use their product everywhere.................Still if that's the only downside I'm a very happy man!............great product, great scent and leaves my face slippery smooth.......................kissable apparently LOL

All the Trumper shaving products are really great. This shaving foam lasts for months, foams up very well, and the wooden case is very attractive. It has a very pleasant citrus scent that is strong but not overpowering. Great alongside the shaving balm and aftershave. Highly recommended.

I found the soap well presented in a wooden bowl. Lovely light natural lime fragrance but it left my skin feeling very dried out. This is in contrast to the Geo F Trumper Lime shaving cream which has a glycerine base and leaves my skin feeling good. This is the reason for the lack of stars - if you are happy with the harsh soap effect then feel free to add back the two stars.
