You need to drill mount holes and hole for power ! If you wish to use these as always ON lights you need to connect the two L-L terminals together and the to the live feed. Nice bright light comes from these. I ordered another one of these and order took 4 days to deliver even tho its says prime and 2 day delivery. Second unit that came was totally different from the first units, first units have more LEDs better front fitting cover (screws) and better quality, second delivery has less LEDs, only one row and clip on front cover. I will not buy again from this supplier ever. Would have returned second order if I had not needed the unit in hurry.

Good unit overall, works as intended but crappy push fit connectors with very fine wire connecting to the p.c.b.Would be better with a connector directly soldered to the p.c.b.!Very awkward using T&E solid core mains cable. Recommend standard connectors to T&E tails then flex to the push fit connectors to relieve stress.

I purchased 4 of these for the small block of flats in which I live. They were all installed by a qualified electrician. On his return from holiday I called him as 3 of the 4 lights were not working 1 hour after we started the test - they are supposed to last for 3 hours.I will be looking to getting these 3 units replaced.

getting the existing (large) cables into the cavity is tricky. I had to fit a junction box in one case to contain the wires and then an extension wire to the light. The Hall where the lights are fitted is over 100years old so there are always issues with improvements.
