Tate and Lyle Fairtrade Icing Sugar 3 kg

Alot of the icing sugars in UK are made with cane sugar whereas this is maize starch

*edited* although I still feel the same about the product I received the seller has, eventually , offered me a full refund. Could have been a one off problem! But I do think that whoever packed the item must have noticed that it felt too hard for icing sugar!! I did as soon as I unpacked it!!!Terrible! Tried grinding it down in a blender but some lumps were just too tough. Tried using and ended up picking lumps out of the mixture. No way can it be used for icing or cream!! Absolute waste of money

Well, this is a 3kg bag of icing sugar. What's to say? It arrived quite quickly, even though it was out of stock at the time of ordering. It was in good condition and I was pleased to get it, since I've ordered icing sugar three weeks running from Sainsbury's and they haven't been able to send it. 3 kg of icing sugar is not a huge bag and it all fitted into my (quite large) storage container with no problem. I was asked to assess flavour, value for money and presentation, which seems a bit silly for a bag of icing sugar, but I gave it five stars. Certainly, I'm pretty keen on using it to make iced sponges!

I bought a large 3kg bag of icing sugar because it was becoming difficult to find any in local shops. This bag is lasting really well and I can't see myself needing to buy more for at least a few months. I divided it up and stored some in airtight containers so it wouldn't all go off before I could use it. Happy with the product and the shipping was fast too.

Managed to get my hands on this before it all went out of stock (shops were all out) got it at an amazing price. Half price than what one would normally pay for a typical 0.5kg bag!Read from previous reviews that it arrived all hard and stiff however NOT THE CASE FOR ME. It arrived in a plastic sealed bag and the contents was normal to a T

My icing sugar was delivered damp which made it really difficult to sive.

I was having a problem buying icing sugar at my local supermarkets so this has kept me going and is a good size which will last for a while. It dissolves well to make glace or butter icing without being gritty, and isn't lumpy or clumpy so I am happy with the quality.

I needed icing sugar in a hurry for a cake (the bag in my cupbpy was nearly empty!!), and as always, Amazon came to my rescue and it arrived on the same day that I ordered and made beautiful buttercream. I can't really ask for more than that!I've added a photo of the buttercream I made with it on some cakes :) The bags are so large I should get a good few more cakes out if it.
