Fingers fingers fingers!!! Work the dubbin into the leather. It's quite therapeutic! You can even leave a layer of dubbin on the leather and it will absorb over a period of a day or so - or perhaps this is partly due to evaporation. I use clear dubbin on my brown gardening boots and my black motorcycle boots. You can always apply a colour polish first if the leather is faded in places.

Just use a cloth . Leave for awhile then buff with soft cloth or brush 

It is waxy and soft. The idea is that it soaks into the leather. You could try it and I imagine it would eventually dry as it does on the leather on the outside but the inside leather probably doesn't have the same finish so perhaps not. Try it on a small area.

Hi Carol, leather boots need something that both permeates and creates a layer over the leather. This product seeps into the material, but also leaves a very moist layer on top. The dubbin would be almost greasy to the touch, unlike other boot protectors, such as G-Wax, which sets near-hard.
