Easy to use and strong
I previously used to try and superglue shoes when bits came apart, but this tended to affect the materials used in training shoes and the like. This adhesive is very strong (but make sure you follow the instructions carefully, and use the supplied elastic bands!) but leaves the materials you are glueing still soft. Really good and well priced product.

Good for rubber, leather, synthetics, but not so good for anything else.
I use shoe glue from time to time and had run out. I couldn't find the stuff I've used before so bought this. I sometimes use shoe glue for bonding other materials owing to its elasticity, and have generally had good results. I currently have a job where I need to bond rubber to aluminium (or "aluminum" for all you Americans). The product description for this glue states that it can be used to "stick metal, rubber, plastic, wood, ceramics, handicraft DIY and other materials" so I thought I'd give it a go. I tried it for my application and it failed miserably. However, for bonding rubber to rubber (haven't tried anything else) it worked fine, and the fine applicator nozzle is a really good design feature that helps to get the glue right where you need it. It also comes with rubber bands (though for shoes I'd suggest you tightly wrap around some non-marking tape; electrical tape works) and a little roughening stick (like emery-board) to key the surface of your material. So, I can't fault it as a shoe glue but knocking off a star because it doesn't really work for bonding to metals, and assume it would also be poor for glazed ceramics.

Strong Shoe Glue
This works well. Its been a few months since I first used this and its holding well. Its nice that the lid on the tube is designed to keep the tube patent between uses - I had to use this glue on a second shoe a couple of months after the first use and the tube had not gotten blocked.

Average
Decent as glue on small holes but didn’t last very long on anything significant

Good quality shoe glue
I bought this glue because my sons boots keep breaking at the toe seam. It worked really well and I haven’t had to repair them since. Easy to use nozzle and no mess either. Definitely recommend this glue for shoe repairs.

Works well
I used this to repair the sole of a walking book which came off in the wash. It's quite messy to use and take a little while to adhere (I sellotaped everything in place)The boots are holding up well so it's a good product.

Lasted about a week
Bought for a pair of trainers that the front bumper part had come away and a pair of walking boots that the soles had come off completely. I followed all the instructions, found the glue a bit watery and at first it appeared to have worked well. However, within a week the trainer repair had come apart and the walking boots' soles had lifted away at the raised edges and totally on one heel after a one-hour's light walk in good weather, so I wouldn't want to trust the glue if using the boots in bad weather. Ended up having to buy new boots, so wish I'd done that in the first place to save time and money.
