First impressions: Not heavy weight and not light weight canvas. Edges are unfinished/raw fabric. I question the rip-stop description. I have never seen rip-stop without a discernible rip stop thread.The PU coating is difficult to detect at first, but it is there. Just find the raw edge which is not coated and then you can then get a feel for the coated side. There is no plastic sheen look or feel. The PU coating is thin. Maybe a problem; maybe not so long as it holds up and does not crack or peel. An initial superficial water test was good. I'm going to put this under a standing rain water test to see how it holds up.It will be a while for a complete durability and longevity test. I plan to use as outdoor equipment cover. It is only a quarter of the weight of what the cover it is replacing, but is much more flexible. I wish there were more color choices. White is too light and shows dirt. Red is too dark and does not reflect enough sunlight for my desire. The cost is right.
