Suncast Commercial CPDSFB220W Nana Swimming Pool Vacuum Hose Reel, Standard, White

I got tired of manually coiling up the 30+ ft pool vacuum hose each time I needed to use or store it, so I found this. The points where this clamps the hose to the reel are suspect, look like they could cut the hose up if not careful, but aside from that, this does the job of coiling up and moving the hose quite well.

I purchased this item despite several negative reviews. I am very pleased with this hose reel. I'm not sure why others said that the included brackets were too small for their vacuum hose. You only screw one end down which makes the bracket adjustable. I placed the hose end in the low bracket and started winding. You do need to keep tension on the hose so it winds tight. When finished I placed the hose end in the upper bracket. Snug as a bug in a rug and now I have half my pool deck back. I have a 36 foot vacuum hose and it fit on this reel with room to spare. A big plus is the fold out hand crank which other models did not include. Not the highest quality materials but none are in this price range. Best bang for you buck!

I've purchased this a couple of months ago and after using it for some time now have developed a love/hate relationship with using the pool vac hose storage cart. Great for spooling and unspooling the bulky vacuum hose but the wheels are too loose on the axles which makes it difficult to roll from place to place. The axles should be larger in diameter or the wheel center holes smaller to prevent the cart from wobbling so much. Also the handle is too short, I'm average in height and have to walk hunched over when pulling the cart. Wish the handle slid out to extend higher when needed or some sort of extension accessory was available. I may have to devise something on my own, as for the wheels I don't see anyway of fixing the overly loose fit. For now the solution is to just carry it from place to place.

I'm disappointed the hose clamps / straps and hardware / screws and nuts are not black nylon plastic as pictured.Mine came with metal that first of all will rust and second will slice your hand when reeling and feeding the hose onto the reel from the knife like outer clamp. Inner one will eventually hack up your hose.The substituted supplied metal clamps are for clamping conduit in place bolting through both holes. They are not intended to be held one side and the other side hanging out whipping around and around as you reel to easily catch and slice your hand. The 1/32" metal thickness is literally like a knife.The reel itself is decent but not heavy duty. If you can settle for tope and brown color suncast makes the identical reel for water hose with water hook up and a bin to hold some misc items for less money! So it can be dual purpose for less money.I would actually give it zero star since it is not as pictured and more important it is very dangerous!If you get it be very careful and don't let your kids use it!

This thing came assembled which is such a plus. I love it, it makes storage easy, as well as when it’s time to vacuum the pool. I just wheel it out to the pool, drop the vacuum head in with the tubing attached, and feed it in the pool. When I’m done, I just put one end on, and reel it out of the pool until I get to the other end. I would definitely buy again.

It is cleared this is simply a modified commercial hose reel with attachment clips for larger hose. better then nothing but would be nice if the upper part was molded so the hose catchers were appropriate sized

The unit is sturdy enough and very little to put together. It comes with two circular clips to hold your pool hose in place, but they are not big enough to insert the ends of the hose. One ends sort of fits as I have a reducer on it but the other end I just tuck into the sides of the reel. It works fine though...better than fighting the stupid hose twisting all ways.

I tried a slightly less expensive reel that I had to return. Though this was a bit more costly, I found that it worked well as described. It did NOT require assembly (YEAH!!!) and it holds 45 ft of vacuum hose. My pool deck is tidier and the hose reels up and out very easily. A wise purchase!
