Used For Storing Store Bought Breads
These Banana Bags Regular Storage bags are of good quality---very thick and looks as if they will protect your items from moisture or cold. I did not buy these bags for what they are suppose to be used for, I bought them for freezing up store bought breads. We live far away from grocery stores, about 50 miles, so when I go to buy groceries I buy up in quantities so that I don't have to make frequent trips to the go to the grocery store. One of the problems I have ran into is the freezing up of breads. There is only 2 of us and we don't eat a lot of bread but I would like to have bread on hand if we need it. I have tried wrapping up the outside of the original bread wrap with clear wrap--wrapping around the bread several times, but the bread still gets moisture and is not very good after it is thawed out. I have bought special bread bags here on Amazon but they were not big enough to put a whole loaf of bread in it. Then I saw these Banana bags and thought I would give them a try. I got the smallest size bags I saw listed--but they are huge and way to big for bread. But I solved that problem. I measured off how much wrap I needed for a loaf of bread and then took that piece and cut down one side of it--which laid out pretty big when I got through. Then I wrapped the loaf with it, making sure there was no air trapped inside of either the original wrap around the bread and also no air trapped inside the banana bag after I got through wrapping with it. I left enough tail of the banana bag at each end of the loaf and then I twisted the ends and added a twist tie and twisted that tightly. All this made the packaging a little bulky but that is OK if it protects the bread. I also did this with a pack of hot dog buns. I have not had to use these packages of breads yet but I have a feeling that when I do they will be just as fresh as when I bought them off the shelves in the store. Since the banana bags are so long & since there is 5 of them, I will have a way to freeze up bread for a very long time.

Yellow, and fairly opaque.
I have two electric guitars which are dust-magnets. I keep them in storage (a closet), and they do get dusty.A proper guitar hard-case would be ideal, but are just too expensive. A simple plastic bag would do fine, so I ordered these. My first surprise is that the bags are yellow. The same yellow seen in the packaging. I had just assumed that they were clear plastic orperhaps translucent....picture wax-paper. But no, they are yellow. No problem for me, I only want to keep dust out, but others might findthe translucent plastic (which conceals all detail), a problem. When I opened the package and started to pull out a bag, I discovered that all five bags are joined together, just like trash bags. You must find the seam between the bags and tear off the leading bag. You'll want to be careful since you can ruin a bag by tearing itat the wrong point. A better marked seam would be helpful but I'm confident few people will have any difficulties. My next surprise is how heavy the plastic of these bags are. They are really made of sturdy plastic film.If you have handled those dark green Hefty bags used for lawn trimmings, you will have the idea, exactly. I had expected the bagsto be a lighter gauge like bread-bags or such, but no, they are sturdy. The size of the bags makes them a little clumsy to handle. Two small adults could stand under one of these bags, fully covered.I mention this to help readers visualize their bulk. If the translucent plastic is no problem I can't imagine these bags not being suitablefor almost any storage need. Many plastics are aged and embrittled by the sun's ultraviolet rays. The yellow dye used might providesome protection there. Incidentally, there is no mention of the plastic type. Polyethylene is my first guess. If you need to store something away from dust and moisture, I suspect these bags will give you years of service. With care, they looklike they will really last.

Very large bags! Hard to find.
These bags come in several sizes, including very large bags. For that reason, they certainly come in handy. But they are THIN and could easily snag or tear. Must be handled carefully.

Nice bags
I bought these to protect my new Christmas Deer while storing them in the basement. Once you put them together, which includes zip ties, it's easier to leave them as they are vs trying to break them down again. They are glittery and I didn't want them to get dusty, so I put each of the 3 deer into their own bag and then I put another bag over top. Used a couple binder clips to hold the two bags together. Worked better than I thought!

GREAT FOR LUGGAGE, ANYTHING LARGE you want to keep DUST AND BUG FREE IN STORAGE!
Love these. Great for things like luggage. While the bottoms are not flat, so a bag takes up more room, they are BIG and do the trick for so many things. I wanted something to store luggage and keep it dust and bug-free. I spritzed some essential oils and water (eucalyptus and cedarwood oils, and also spritzed the outside with a water/peppermint oil blend) on the inside and outside of three bags then put them in the bag and twist tied them. For the extra large piece of luggage, I double-bagged it just because it was a little heavier. I don't know how good these would be for anything with rough or sharp metal edges, they aren't really thick, but for what I needed, perfect and at a great price. I was going to get some HUGE yard trash bags which are expensive. For under 8 bucks, I got what I needed for all my luggage.
