This DVD is an incredible collection of the finest cycling films of recent times. experiences available. The set begins with the provocative Italian Film, "The Last Kilometer." It's a portrait of professional road cycling at a crossroads. The film begins with Cadel Evans and then widens out to examine the many changes that have occurred in recent times (with the constant subtext of "is doping ruining the sport?) and asks the question if cycling itself, as a sport worthy of attention and veneration, is on its last pedal. In other words, is this "The Last Kilometer" for the sport itself. "Moon Rider" is a coming-of-age story about the bike rider Rasmus Quaade. The film follows young Rasmus' struggle to become a professional rider, a rough and winding road through hell and back. Shot on fragile Super8 and raw helmet-cam, it is a journey seen from the inside of a young man's head - it is a personal story entrusted to the spectator by Rasmus himself from his intimate diary. Rasmus has proven to have an extra ordinary talent for riding, but even if Rasmus' physical abilities are extra ordinary and built for cycling, his mind is build for thinking. His constant reflections about life and death becomes his biggest obstacle in reaching his goal of becoming a World Champion. In order to win, he has to empty his head completely, but how do you clear your head, when every thought is a step in the wrong direction? The film paints an honest and heartbreaking picture of the extreme and lonely life of a young championship rider. "7 Deserts: A Bicycle Journey" is an intimate film diary of the humble Spanish Adventurer Sergio Fernandez. A modern-day Don Quixote, Sergio birthed a wild and wooly quest to cross the 7 major Deserts on Planet Earth on his bicycle. Total Running Time: 192 minutes. Each of the films are in their original language with English Subtitles. Three Great Films on 1 DVD
