Great System
I will not pretend to know everything about camera/security systems. All I can do is compare what I have. Somehow I've ended up with 3 different systems in my house, lol. I have Eufy (my first system), Mother's Day my son bought me a blink set that included a doorbell cam, and then my daughter talked me into a ring doorbell after the blink finked out and would not connect to my wifi. I bought the Eufy almost 3 years ago when moving into our current home, I bought it based off reviews. Compared to blink, it's pricey, but wow is it worth it. After about a month, blink lost connection with my network and we tried forever to get it back. I could not get it, so I bought the Ring Camera doorbell (my daughter suggested it, but really I should have gotten a Eufy). Then somehow, we got the blink connected again, and during that time we hooked up the Ring doorbell. Then the power went out. blink and Ring go offline and I had to reconnect them again. This has happened more than once since installing them. However, Eufy, in the almost three years I've had it ALWAYS reconnects on its own. Not once have I had to reconnect the cameras. Also, the video quality is excellent, out of the three systems, Eufy is hands down the best video, especially for distance, it's so clear with no blur. Night vision is awesome as well. I get the notifications right away and when I go to the dashboard, it comes up quickly. I recently emailed Eufy to see what kind of solar panel I could attach to my driveway cam as it gets lots of action, and while the batteries last a long time, that one drains faster. I received a response right away with what was compatible, and after I got it, it was pretty easy to install. So out of the three systems I have, Eufy is number one hands down. Ring is good too, except going offline when disconnected is really irritating. blink, don't waste your money.

Solid 4K Security System – Powerful, Reliable, and Easy to Use
Everything about this Eufy camera system works exactly as described. Setup was fast and smooth—honestly not sure why some other reviews complain about it. I had zero issues getting all four cameras connected and up and running in no time. The new HomeBase with expandable storage is a major win. I installed a 5TB hard drive and it’s been working flawlessly—plenty of space for continuous recording without any subscription fees. The 4K video quality is excellent—crisp, clear, and detailed. I haven’t experienced any connection drops or lags, and the 8x digital zoom is surprisingly good—I can clearly read license plates from about 70 feet away. Color night vision works really well, too, giving you more detail than traditional infrared-only systems.AI features like facial and package recognition actually work well, and the system keeps improving over time. The only downside I’ve run into is the lack of finer notification control. I wish I could disable alerts for the indoor cameras (like when we’re home) but still keep them recording. Some sort of geofencing-based privacy mode would be amazing—have the indoor cameras stop monitoring when we’re home, and re-activate when we leave. The app itself is generally great—easy to view footage and manage alerts—but the way you reorder cameras is clunky and not intuitive at all. Eufy could definitely streamline the settings menus.Battery life is impressive and lives up to the claim, but for hard-to-reach areas (like under the eaves), I’d recommend adding a solar panel or wiring them in to avoid climbing up every few months. Also worth noting—it integrates well with Google Home, and I haven’t had a single issue using voice commands or live streaming to smart displays.Overall, this is an excellent system for the price—feature-rich, no monthly fees, and highly customizable. With a few software tweaks, it could easily be perfect.

Great quality cameras, solid app, some opportunities for improvement
The media could not be loaded. I bought these a couple months ago to replace a set of Arlo cameras after getting annoyed that they started charging a monthly fee for their services. Eufy had what I wanted with a good quality resolution cameras, local storage, and a number of AI features.First, the good -- super easy setup- great quality camera resolution with enough settings (ie. Spotlight, night vision settings, activity zones, etc). The recording attached is from the middle of the night with only the camera spotlight providing the light, and it’s still good quality.- long battery life (after 2 months I still have 70%+ in all cameras, including some that record frequently- the local storage is great. Even with just the included storage, I have more than I need to record multiple months. When accessing old recordings, it’s super fast to pull them up and play them, which was an issue with some other camera sets I tried (like TP- Link Tapo cameras with onboard storage)- the app is easy to use and seems reliable - I have tested geolocation options which worked well, but also scheduled options and the camera accurately changes modes in both settings- No subscription fees! The areas for improvement:- the app doesn’t allow you to mix scheduling and geolocation modes, so if you wanted to put it on a schedule when you are Home, and arm all cameras when you are Away that’s not an option for you- the AI isnt great - while I like being able to name the people in footage, Eufy doesn’t often recognize them in the future. It’s not a big deal as the camera still recognizes its a Person, but just cannot tell me who without some time.Overall, I would still highly recommend these for someone looking for a subscription-free, high quality cameras set. Buy when they are on sale and save yourself $150-200 of the list price.
