I have these on a couple different pairs of shoes. Concrete/asphalt shreds them and leaves a gooey residue. Pictured are a pair of flats I wore on an hour-long walk on an asphalt path. (they were in-tact prior to the walk. I think I put these sole protectors on them about a month prior.)OK for office work, but even then, they tear rather easily.I am over-weight, so maybe they'll last longer for someone who's not?

Before I would use the thicker rubber soles with glue and a sheet rock knife to cut the material. That was a lot of work....had clamp and wait over night for the glue to set. The reason I want rubber soles is my leather soles get wet and is absorbed into the shoe causing your feet to get cold and your socks damp enough to cause you to change them. Really a headache! This product the material is thinner but sticks well to to the sole I am sure it will keep the moisture out. So easy to use too! The way I did it was two (2) pieces per shoe. One one pair of shoes used the trimming for both front of the sole...about an inch....first cut to make the material straight then place at the toe end of the shoe and trim with scissors. Then use one piece horizontal and line up to the toe piece and then trim. Then the second full piece line up with that piece..stick and trim. Sticks really good! I do not expect the soles to be completely water proof....but just plain leather is like a walking sponge in water. Very happy. Will update if any I learn anything helpful.

Work great and you can double and triple them up on the bottom of your shoes I use them for my Birkenstocks and I walk miles and miles every day and the soles have worn down on one of them I put double the other one I put triple thickness works like a charm and stays on already ordered more!!I tried some others but ended up returning them because they all sucked compared to these they do need to make these at a thicker version as well but I’m so happy that they layer over themselves without a problem

I should have read the size description and measured my shoes but I just looked at the photo they showed and thought they would fit. Not even close... even the direction of the waves are going across the length not the width as shown. After reading the reviews I don't understand why they just don't make the 10 pieces into just two and let the customers cut them to size. The thickness and quality seems excellent so I just don't get the sizing. I don't want pieced sections so I will be returning these.. have size 11 shoes standard with not wide.

I bought shoes for my food service job that weren’t “Slip-Resistent” and wanted to try these so I didn’t have to buy another pair of shoes. They in fact did not work at all. They did stay on and cutting them to size wasn’t too hard. I know they don’t say “slip-resistant” but I atleast wanted to leave a review and let people know they don’t work as replacements for shoes needed in restaurants.
